Well spring has sprung  and calls are coming in now. Last night at 10:30 PM I received a call from a young man who told me his fiancé lost her engagement ring at the beach by the volleyball courts at Spanish Banks. After talking and listening to the story, I felt it was important that we got there sooner than later. There’s a lot of people detecting these beaches and around volleyball courts.

We were set to meet just after 11 PM,  I got to meet the lovely couple and hear their story and they showed me the area they believed the ring was lost. They were only engaged for four months so you can imagine how she must’ve felt to lose such a beautiful ring. Both had very little confidence they ever see it again.

They even purchased a Metal Detector online, but after a bit more research, they found out about TheRingFinders and called…I have  over 50 years of metal detecting experience and I can make searches look easier than they are and I also love to surprise people!

This search only took approximately five minutes before I saw it in my scoop, and was able to surprise this lovely couple with such a beautiful ring that the young man picked out with the help of friends of his fiancé… Very crafty!

Received a call last night approximately 9:45 PM in regards to a young man who lost his wedding band in some long grass at English Bay Beach. I listen to his story,  he was still there with friends searching with flashlights, but he knew he needed more help.

I asked him how he found my website and he said he just googled and found it very quickly and decided to call for help.

We met around 10:30 PM and I began my search. It was on a slope hill with some short grass and long grass mixed in, it was a tough search due to it was a little slippery and just the angle of the hill made it a little hard to get in a good grid search and do it properly.

Close to one hour of searching I found this young man’s beautiful wedding band. He told me they were together for 12 years so you can imagine what this meant for him to get it back. Unfortunately I didn’t get a video for this search as the important parts were on the camera photo setting... What a rookie mistake!

Lost cell phone found at White Rock Pier

Lost your Jewellery, cell phone, keys… don’t wait till it’s too late call/24/7  Chris- 778-838-3463

Cell phones…We live on them now and they are crazy expensive. Most of us have them insured bot if you don’t have the phone you dot get a replacement, for us, Canadians AppleCare does not include lost or stolen however, if you go through your provider, most cases, they will offer you lost or stolen for an extra fee. I have mine insured that way because mine cost a lot of money… I think next year I’m going to lease my phone

I was detecting at White Rock beach and I found a phone I put it in my pocket when I got home I cleaned it up took the SIM card out put it in my iPhone and was able to get a contact number off that phone. This phone belong to a young lady and the mother explained how important it was to get it back because without it their plan would cancel for some reason they needed the SIM card. I’ve returned a lot of phones because I know how to retrieve the numbers from them. I still have a lot of phones that haven’t been claimed. Maybe people were on holidays here and just gave up..

This is the young ladies uncle who picked up the phone…

Lost Ring in Delta, BC…Global News Story

Thank You ”Jay Durant” Reporter for Global News

I received a phone call from a young man who lost his wedding band at a park, he said he saw a story about my service on Global News that afternoon,  it gave him hope that maybe I could find it for him.

He also told me he had rented a metal detector and searched for it but could not find it. I always wonder how many times that happens where people rent or buy a detector and don’t find what they’re looking for and walk away.

When I met Jeff at the park, he showed me the area where he had put a blanket down while his youngster was playing, and when he got up, he shook the blanket and the ring went flying. It took me less than five minutes to find his white gold wedding band that he wore for six years. I have to thank Jay Durant & Global News for running a great story and helping their viewers find what they thought was lost forever.

How to find your lost iPhone, Vancouver BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I find things…That’s what I do! I was out detecting one night a few weeks back and I found an iPhone at low tide at 1 am. I put it away and it took me a week or so to get the little tool to open my sim card holder. This is a way I’ve learnt that I can find the persons phone number, when I put their SIM card into my iPhone I just go into settings, about this phone then I can find their number listed. I then take out the SIM card put mine back in and reach out to them. I’ve returned so many iPhones this way. I was happy that he called me back and we hooked up today and I gave back the young man’s phone, he was extremely happy and told me the story how it ended up in the ocean. A coworker threw it into the ocean… alcohol was involved lol… as I’m writing this story I received a text message from Adrian. He said when he got home and put it on the cordless charger, the phone worked… Amazing!

Find your lost ring in the snow…Vancouver, BC

Lost your ring, cell phone, keys… Don’t wait until it’s too late. Call ASAP 24/7 Chris 778-838-3463.

I received a text message late last night asking for help to find a  lost man’s 22 karat diamond ring. I saw the text message when I woke up early this morning and let him know to call me as soon as he saw my message.

7 AM I got the phone call and listen to where he believed his ring had come off his hand. He told me it was about a four block walk from his house to the bus station. I could already imagine how hard this search was going to be, for the fact that we just got snow a few days ago. After talking, I heard him mention he was wearing gloves… that changed everything! My next questions were when did the gloves come off and do you remember where, he did fortunately.

He told me two times he had slipped and fell, he said one time close to his house, crossing the road he slipped and fell when he got onto the sidewalk he took his glove off and dusted the snow off his pant leg and jacket. The second time was closer to the bus terminal four blocks away same thing, he took his glove off to wipe snow off of his pants and jacket.

I started my search where he first fell close to his house, and literally the first minute I found it wedged into the road, just the brim of it showing. Sometimes we get lucky and it doesn’t take long to find what we’re looking for, other times it could take hours and hours. I’m always grateful for these quick ones and for the fact that nobody else found it before me. I love my job. I get to find people Lost smiles and hear their stories.

Lost Ring Manning Park…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Lost your ring or any piece of jewelry, cell phone, keys,  call anytime 24/7  Don’t wait until it’s too late… Chris/778-838-3463

I received a phone call approximately three weeks ago in regards to a lost promise ring at Manning Park. After hearing the story and talking to the young lady, in regards to where she believed the ring was lost, and the fact that it was up in the mountains, approximately 2 1/2 hour drive each way, I elected to pass on the search at that particular time, as it was snowing up in the mountains. My van would have a very difficult time even with new winter tires getting there. (Rear Wheel Drive)

I gave her as much information as I could in regards to the fact her ring was safe and nobody would find it and she could probably wait till spring when the snow had melted and easily have seen it. The one thing that bothered me was she did tell me she was very close to the fire pit when she was wiping snow off of a friends  jacket.

That is the kind of movement I’m always looking for as her ring could come flying off due to cold & wet hands.Iit bothered me because it could’ve gone into the fire pit and who knows if they would’ve cleaned that out and the ring gone with it.

I kept an eye on the weather and I noticed we had a window of two or three days of sunny weather and I phoned her and asked if she wanted me to go up and have a look.

She was excited and said yes,  I took the drive up there through the mountain passes with no problems. When I arrived it was sunny and  it wasn’t too cold. I started my search around the fire pit, but had no luck, there was a chance somebody could’ve picked it up while making a snowball and threw it without knowing. I expanded my search area to accommodate that possibility and after a half a day of searching, I had no ring.

Day 2 I knew I had to attack the fire pit. It wasn’t going to be easy as the ash had frozen into blocks and I needed a special shovel that I fortunately carry with me to break the ice and scrape everything into a wheelbarrow where I can search each piece amongst some of the loose ash.

The fire pit was full of iron, lots and lots of nails and pieces of the iron bucket which makes it very difficult to locate a ring. My next thing was to go through everything peace by peace, and after a good hour or more of searching in the wheelbarrow amongst all the ash, I found her ring.!

Sadly, the ring was unrecognizable due to the temperatures of the fire, however, I found out that the young man had insurance on it and now I was going to get the ring back to what it looked like when he first bought it. What a smart young man to get insurance, you can tell by her smile she was so happy to get it back, looking back at it now it was a good thing. I did go up there before spring the fire pit. I’m sure it would’ve been cleaned out before I would’ve got there. I love my job. Such a nice young couple. Happy to be of service to them.

Here’s what it looked like above.

Will a Metal Detector Find a Lost Gold Ring…Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Lost your ring or any sentimental item contact a metal detecting specialist ASAP 24/7 Chris Turner-778-838-3463

Yes a metal detector can find your lost gold ring in your yard, beach, park…That being said if you’ve never used one before you most likely won’t find your ring. Save you time and money and hire a metal detecting specialist with years of experience.

I have found over 500 lost items and I can’t count how many times someone had rented or bought a metal detector in hopes of finding their lost item. Experience pays off and that’s what we have on this directory, members like myself with many years of Metal Detecting experience.

I got a phone call from a young lady who said her husband had lost his ring somewhere in a garden area on the side of the road close to their house. After discussing the search, she mentioned his ring fit very well and they were confused on how it could’ve come off when they were looking for their Lost Keys. They went out and bought a metal detector and searched for hours, but could not find the ring. I showed up,  listen to the story and started my search. Within a couple minutes I found his lost gold wedding band. I love my job!  I might make it look easy but remember I have 53 years of metal detecting experience…It helps!

Gold doesn’t grow on trees, but it sure could hide there! I received a message from a young lady in regards to her husband’s lost ring, we set up an appointment for the next morning to come and look for it. The story was her husband was cleaning his car when he felt the ring come off. He heard the ping of the ring hitting a rock and then  he could not find it anywhere, him & his wife spent hours searching for the ring.

When I got there this morning, I met the young man and discussed the search area. Everything pointed towards the big hedges as a hiding spot for this Harvard university graduation ring, which meant the world to this man. Such a symbolic symbol, he wore on his finger for only a couple of months, for him, I’m sure this Ring symbolized all the hard work & the studying in order for him to graduate from Harvard.

I was excited to start the search. I felt confident I would find it, not quite sure exactly where but I had a good idea. After 30 minutes of searching moving the bushes, I heard the ping of the ring hitting a rock and I look down, and there was his beautiful Harvard graduation ring.

His ring was caught up on the branches of the tree, and by moving the tree I shook it loose! I love my job for so many reasons obviously to see the smiles and how finding peoples lost sentimental items affect them, also the detective work and trying to understand where these items will show up.

I was able to surprise Jonathan with his beautiful class ring from Harvard. I was just as excited as he was to see his ring the only difference is I didn’t work nearly as hard as he did to get it in the first place..

I love my Job!

I recieved a call the other day in regards to Lost diamond engagement ring, and wedding band that were soldered together and lost somewhere in the garden. She been looking for close to three weeks and even borrowed Metal Detector, but could not find it.

We arrange the time to meet on the weekend, when I showed up and met Joanne we discussed the area where the ring possibly could’ve fallen, in and around shrubs and bushes that could easily eat up a ring, and make it very difficult to swing a metal detector. I knew I had to use my pinpoint…I started shaking the bushes and began to search underneath in order to make sure I wasn’t walking away from my recovery.

Not finding anything under the bushes I took the next step and started to search the branches and I got a signal up hi and moved the branches and under a dead leaf a saw a glint of gold! Amazing where these little things show up!

I was so honoured to find her late mothers ring and hear the story about her late mother and how she lost it two times in her lifetime so will call this third time. Lucky.!

I love my job!!
