I received a call from Lucas letting me know that he had lost a pendant in a sand volleyball court at Hermosa Beach, and wondered if I would be able to help him. I let him know I would leave immediately, and come to search for his pendant.

When I arrived we found each other, and Lucas showed me the area he believed the pendant was lost. I got the equipment together, and within minutes, I was able to hand it back to him. He told me how it had been given him by a close relative, so it meant a lot to get it back. I was happy to have made his day.

I received a call after dark from Emily. It seemed that her husband had lost his ring in the sand, and they were unable to find it. I was available, and let them know I was on my way.

When I arrived, the beach was dark, so we had a bit of a problem finding each other for a few minutes. When we got together Emily and Mitch (her husband) took me out to the area of the loss. In less than 10 minutes, Mitch had his ring back, and there were smiles all around.

Oura Ring Lost at Marina Del Rey Beach…Found and Returned.

Carli called for help in finding her lost Oura Ring. She had been at the beach the day before when it got lost. I left right away to meet her down there.

I found Carli when I arrived at the beach, and she walked me out to the area of the loss. The thing I did not know about Oura Rings is that they have a “Find Me”” service. So Carli broke out her phone, and began walking around trying to narrow down the spot where the ring was showing. Finally she stopped, and said, “It is somewhere around here.” I turned on my detector, swung once, and dug once. Carli had placed right on top of the ring, and just like that she had it back.

David called me regarding the loss of a ring in a volleyball court at a park. His wife had been there with her child, and somehow lost her ring in the sand at the court. I was available to go, so he informed his wife, who would meet me there.

When I got to the park, I was able to find the volleyball court, and then David’s wife. We discussed the loss, and where in the court she felt it had come off. I began my search, and it wasn’t very long before I had her ring in my scoop. She was very happy to have it back again, and it made for a great day.

I received a call from Dinair who had lost her key at Redondo Beach. I let her know I could come right away to help her, and left shortly after.

I got to the beach, and found her. She showed me where she had been, and where she had walked, and I began my search. I began a grid to make sure I covered the area well, finding numerous bits of metal here and there. After about 15 minutes I had Dinair’s key in my scoop. She was happy to have them back so she could drive back home.

Jason called me about his lost ring. He had been working in his yard when he then noticed it was gone from his finger. We arranged a time for me to come out and do the search, and I was on my way.

When I got there Jason showed me the area of the loss, and it wasn’t large. There was also a pile of dirt that he believed the ring could be in. I began looking all around the area he showed me, and then began to look on the dirt pile. As I was swinging my coil over the dirt pile I got a good signal, looked down, and there it was right on top of the dirt. He was surprised it had made it over that far, but was very happy to have it back.

I got a call today from Megan who had been enjoying the sun and surf in Ventura today except for the fact that she lost both her engagement and wedding rings somewhere in the sand. She had taken them off for safekeeping and as usually happens, she proceeded to lose them. I got a late text last week from Aramis — he had lost a very special and important ring the evening before at Carpinteria State Beach. He had a general idea of where the loss had occurred, so I headed out hoping for an easy recovery. When I got to the beach it was packed! We’ve been much warmer than normal the past week, so everyone who could get out to the beach in Carpinteria had done just that. An easy recovery just became a lot more difficult.

I got a call yesterday evening from Ashley who had lost her wedding ring at East Beach in Santa Barbara. As what usually happens, she had given her mom her rings so she could go for a swim and not have to worry about losing them. Ed called me last week about a lost ring that he believed had occurred at his worksite. Ed runs a drilling company and it was while he was fixing one of the rigs he believed that his ring had fallen off. He asked me if I could help find his ring and of course I said I would. The only issue I had was that his worksite was littered with pieces of scrap metal as he and his team are constantly fabricating materials as they fix and prepare the drilling rigs. I told him I would bring my magnet sweeper so we could pull as much of the junk metal out of the search areas.

I met him today at the site and Ed explained where he thought the ring had gone missing. The only thing that made sense is that the ring had come off and he had to have stepped on it and smashed it into the dirt because the material was a combination of dirt and road base. While Ed was sweeping the area for junk metal I got about detecting it. I began to grid the area going slowly so as not miss anything but to also let my Minelab Manticore do it’s job of separating targets. After about 5 minutes I got a nice solid tone just below the surface and I took my pinpointer and located the target and began to scrape away the dirt and when I did Ed’s ring appeared!
