Lost wedding ring found in Oak Park
I got a call from Steve this afternoon asking if I could help him find his ring. He had been at Chapparal park in Oak Park playing some frisbee golf and had lost his wedding ring. When I met up with him there was even more to the story. Not only had Steve lost his ring but this was the second time today it had fallen off his finger while playing. As we talked further I came to appreciate what an awesome guy Steve is. While originally from the Oak Park/Agoura area he currently resides in Northern Virginia and was out visiting a friend of his who is battling cancer as he comes to visit every 3-4 months to help and support. In today’s times/society it’s hard to find anyone sometimes who will just hold the door for you and here is a guy that puts his friends first even if he has to go 3000 miles to do it.
We got to the top of one of the tee boxes and he put me in an area to search and I was getting a lot of good targets but none were his ring. I was getting ready to expand my grid when Steve exclaimed “there’s my ring!” As often happens, his ring was in another area outside of where he thought he had lost it. Even though I didn’t actually put my coil over it we agreed my presence must have been the extra thing needed to find the ring. (haha)
One of the best parts of doing this is getting to meet some of the best people and Steve certainly fits this category. I was glad he gave me the chance to try and find his ring. If you have lost your ring or other piece of jewelry (or a lost cache of coins) don’t hesitate to give me a call at 805-290-5009 so we can get your stuff back.
