Lost Diamond Wedding Band in Deep Cove, North Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Last week I received a call from a young man that told me that his mother lost her wedding band in their back yard. He wanted to surprise her by having me find it before his mother & father got back home from holidays.Unfortunately by the time I got there it was getting dark and I found out that the most likely place the ring could be would be under their patio.I tried searching the first time and was covered with spiderwebs and spiders, although they don’t bother me it becomes a bit of a pain with out a hat and proper gear.I had to schedule a time to meet the following weekend in order to have a good shot at finding this ring. Today I met the family and was able to discuss the loss of the ring with Spencer’ mom.It made sense that the ring could be under the patio but before I went under there I needed to eliminate the other possible areas…Next door was a possibility  but after a quick search nothing showed up…We performed a reenactment of how she lost the ring and all signs pointed to under the patio. After crawling under the patio and moving some rocks I found the diamond ring…The search took me 1 hour and I shook off a few spiders from my clothes and found another smile…I love my job!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThanks to her son Spencer who found The Ring Finders online Christie has the ring that was on her finger for 30 years and now for many more  years to come!If you have lost something call ASAP…View the search on the Video below…https://youtu.be/EC7E2jhjLnE

Lost Gold wedding Band in Whonnock Lake, Maple Ridge

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call from young man that told me that he lost his wedding ring at Whonnock Lake in Maple Ridge and that he and his wife and friends searched for over an hour but had no luck finding it.I know this lake well as I have found a couple of lost rings for the owners in the past and from the description of the area he described it sounded like an easy search. We made arrangements to meet early the next morning and I drove them to the search site. When the young man showed me the area it was a fare way out in the cool morning water to where he lost his 2 month old gold wedding band. We started the search and it wasn’t exactly the perfect conditions I was hoping for due to large odd shaped rocks that made it extremely hard to search with my sand scoop. After a few dives down to check and if I could spot my signal, I had to stop due to the fact it was nearly impossible to see anything in the water.I continued to go after a good strong signal, I was sure it was his ring but had a tough time scooping it up with all the big rocks around. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Then after 20 minutes I looked into my scoop and saw the sweet site of gold! I love that feeling because I know good that young man and his wife would feel…These were two very nice people who were in love and I know how much they wanted their ring back where it belonged. These rings travel 12,000 km from Iran to Vancouver for that wedding day, only two months ago OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I truly have the greatest job in the world…I get to find peoples lost smiles… thank you so much for reading my post… until the next one!Lost your ring…Call me ASAPBest, Chris TurnerYou can watch the video of the search below…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mY2fdKIbuk

Metal Detecting for a lost Heirloom Ring in Golden Ears Park, Maple Ridge

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I was on a search at a lake in Maple Ridge early Sunday morning and after I was packing it up to go home I checked my phone to find a message that someone had lost their ring at Golden Ears Park only 15 minutes from where I was located.I called the young lady back and she explained that her husband was on his way home from searching for his ring. She asked if I would consider meeting them there to help and I was happy to do so.After talking to her husband on the phone it sounded like it would be a quick search and hopefully a succesful one. Unfortunately  he was just at the location searching and drove over 1 hour back home before his wife found me online and they had to turn around and go back.We set up a meeting point and I had some breakfast as I waited for them to show up. An hour or so later we met and we drove to the location. This is one of my favorite location! So beautiful and fresh and clean…I love my office! They took me to the area that the ring was lost at and within minutes I found his ring.IMG_1849This was an heirloom ring that belonged to his wife’s grandfather so you could imagine how devastating it was for both of them when the ring was lost…But you can imagine how good it felt to have that ring found!IMG_1853 I’ll never get tired of helping people!I love my job! Lost Diamond Wedding Ring in Vancouver Garden…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

One week ago I received a call from a young lady explaining to me that her mother may have lost her diamond engagement ring in her garden. After talking for a few minutes she said that she wasn’t clear if her mother lost the ring in the garden or if it was lost in her house.I told her that I wouldn’t be able to make it until the weekend, five days later, so that if her mother could check the house good and cannot find it I would come to search the yard on the weekend.Well come Thursday I received a call that they didn’t find the ring in the house and that they needed my service, so we arranged a meeting for 11 AM on Saturday morning. When I arrived I met a very lovely lady named Wendy who told me why she thought the ring could be lost in her backyard. She goes on to tell me that she was doing some yard work and watering the plants and pulling out some bushes and branches which is a very good way to lose a ring. This diamond engagement ring was very special to Wendy because she lost her husband last year as you can imagine the ring meant the world to her. She told me that ring was given to her in 1967 when her husband, boyfriend at the time proposed to her. She remembered that her husband was making payments on the ring… $10 a week and she had the payment sheet showing all the payments he made until it was paid off.I have to tell you I was really praying that I would find this ring for her, so I began my search in the area in the backyard that she showed me where she was pulling branches and watering plants. Wendy had to go in the house to get a battery for her hearing aid and within minutes I had found the ring!  I was so excited and couldn’t wait to show her what I’d found. When Wendy came back outside I showed her her ring and she was so happy! A I have the best job in the in the world! I get to make people smile…Every ring has a story and that story ends when the ring is lost…What I do is get to help continue that story by find that lost ring…This story was a love story about a lady who loved her husband very much and will miss him dearly. Thanks for reading my blogs! If you have lost something and need it found…Call me ASAPYou can watch the video of the search below.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImXCfVjnl84

Lost Wedding Band at Jericho Beach, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a phone call from a friend that I work with that told me that his friend lost his wedding ring at Jericho Beach when he was swimming. He goes on to tell me that he’s at the beach the next morning searching for it because his friend couldn’t be there as he had to work… Then it hit him…I know  a guy who finds lost rings! (Me) He tells me that his friend had lost his ring while they took a swim and that he was married for over 25 years so it was extremely sentimental.

I happen to have the day off so I rushed out there to help him find his friends lost ring. When I get there the tide is slowly coming in and he shows me an area where he believes the ring was lost.

After 10 minutes of searching I found a silver native carved ring so I popped it out of the sand and left it were it was found so I could come back and film it. Later Marty goes to move the bag closer to shore and see’s the ring. He thinks its the native ring that I told him I found the day before at that beach…I told him that I found that one but I thought that he told me that it was a white gold ring that I was looking for…

Well we decided to call his friend to see what his ring looked like and this was the match! I don’t get to meet his friend but here is the picture of  a good friend, who did what he could to do to help find his buddies ring for him…

Metal Detecting Service for a Lost Wedding Band in the Ocean at Kits Beach, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a call the other day from a young man who lost his wedding ring in the ocean while swimming, he tried for a few hours to find it but the tide was fast moving in and the depth was getting to deep to continue the search.

He remembered a friend of a friend who lost their ring and how they found me on The Ring Finders Directory, so he got on line and found the directory and called me.

From his description of where the ring was lost I knew I’d have to hit it hard at low or a little before. Lots of people metal detect the swimming areas everyday at low tide.

I decided to make a night of it and arrived at midnight at Kits Beach and searched the dry sand until 6am. I found a little over $20 in change 1 iPhone 4s that was returned back to the owner later that day, 1 Tungsten wedding band(still looking for the owner) 1 big Heart pendent and long chain and loads of bottle caps, pull tabs & booby pins.

At 6 am I tested the water and it was cold but I knew I better get at it and search for the lost white gold wedding band. After 15 minutes in the nice but cold water I got a good signal and after checking the scoop I saw the glimmer of white gold mixed in with the rocks and sand.

It only took 15-20 minutes because David remembered to take notes and references to where the ring was lost and that helps me a lot.

How to Find a lost Gold Ring in Green Lake BC…

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received an email last weekend from a young man who asked me if I could help find his fiancés lost engagement ring in about 3 feet of water. I said absolutely if she knows where the approximate area where that ring came off at, and he said that she had a good idea. Then he went on to say that she lost it at Green Lake…That would be a 900 kilometer return trip…630 miles north of Vancouver. After a few email and figuring out the day of the trip ,we set out at 3am Sunday morning. It took roughly 5 hours to get there and I was in the water searching within 10 minutes of arrival. After the young lady showed me the area where she was hitting a volley ball I started the search. Unfortunately I ran into what we call hot rocks… mineralized rocks that messes with our Detectors  and gives us a good signal.  After slowing down the grid search I received a solid signal and after just 30 minutes I found the hiding spot of the young ladies beautiful diamond engagement ring. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHere are to two high school sweethearts! Wedding Set Lost on Day of Anniversary at Rehoboth Beach: Found

I received a phone call at 7:30 am on May 27th 2013 regarding a Platinum Wedding  set that had been lost the day before on May 26th 2013 in the sand at Rehoboth Beach, Del. The story was that the couple were celebrating their wedding anniversary on May 26th and that they were at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The owner had taken her rings off and placed them in her lap in order to put suntan lotion on the couples child. Forgetting that she had placed the rings in her lap she stood up and the rings fell into the sand. There were attempts made to recover the rings by sifting the sand, but the rings were not to be found. Upon getting the phone call I arrived at the beach about an hour later only to find that the beach had been raked by the city workers using a tractor and a sand rake. My fear was that the rings had either been gobbled up by the sand rake or that they had been carried in an unknown direction down the beach by the sand rake. I began my search in an area that was pointed out by the ring owners husband with negative results. I then adjusted the area of my search due to the husband believing that they had been closer to the water than he originally thought. The husband left the beach in order to help his wife pack as they were to leave to go back  home on this day, I told him that I would call him with the results of the search. The husband had’nt made it back to his parked car before I recovered the 1kt diamond Platinum ring right in the area where I began my second search. I called him and told him that he might want to come back down to the beach which he did and at that time I returned the recovered ring to him. I then conducted a spiral search from the area that the diamond ring was found and I failed to locate the wedding band. I then searched north of that same location without recovering the band. Then a search of the area to the south of the recovered diamond ring resulted in the recovery of the wedding band sixty feet south of where the diamond was recovered. It appeared that the sand rake had moved the wedding band from the area of where it had been dropped. I actually saw several of the small diamonds on the wedding band glistening in the sunshine before my metal detector passed over top of it. A small portion of the top of the wedding band was exposed just above its hiding place in the sand. The wedding band was recovered and returned to its rightful owner. Another anniversary saved by the Ringfinders!

Metal Detecting For a Lost Diamond Ring at a Vancouver Beach

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Its been a very hard week due to the loss of my wife’s father, we’ll miss him very much!I was away for the past week dealing with the preparations of the service and I had 3 calls and 2 that I passed on to others Ring Finders, after I arrived home late last night I was able to do a search for a diamond wedding ring that was lost on Spanish Banks Beach here in Vancouver.

I was extremely exhausted but looking very forward to getting away to the beach and and helping someone find their lost smile as this is more like relaxation for me.I met with Mary at 11pm and she showed me where her wife lost her ring and it took me a little over an hour to find it.

IMG_1249

It would have been a quicker search but due to the fact that it was late and dark it took a while for Mary to put me in the correct area but when she did it only took minutes and we found the ring and I got to see her big smile!

Thank you very much for the generous reward Mary it helps me with my gas money and equipment and 15 % of the reward money goes to charity… Children’s Hospital
