Beautiful Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Bear, DE!!!

Hans found me in The Ring Finder directory after losing his 1 year old beautiful, unique gold wedding band near his home in Bear, DE. He was doing some yard work in his front yard, it was raining, his hands were wet and his ring almost slipped off several times while he was working. He finished his weeding and went to throw the pile of weeds into the woods across the street and suddenly he looked down and his ring was gone. He searched for hours and even bought a metal detector before reaching out to me. I met him the next day and after a quick scan of his front yard it was quite obvious the ring flew off with the pile of debris he threw into the woods. I had to do some moderate landscaping in the area where he threw the debris….but after doing so a quick scan of the area literally struck gold!!!! I found his ring after a quick 15 minute search. I was very pleased to be able to return his ring to him!!!

Beautiful gold heirloom ring lost, recovered and returned in Newark, DE!!!

Zack and Yasmine contacted me via the Ring Finders directory after losing a beautiful gold ring several weeks earlier. They were enjoying the first snowfall of the year on the campus of the University of Delaware in Newark, DE when her ring came up missing. The ring, which was originally her mothers, flew off her finger during a snowball fight. Yasmine distinctly felt the ring come off during a throw and despite searching several times she and Zack could not find it. I met them on campus and they had the good sense to remember the precise area where the snowball fight occurred. I started the search with my Minelab Manticore metal detector(15 inch coil) in the area she was standing when she made the throw and used a grid pattern to cover the 25 square yard area. When i didn’t find on my first scan of the area I expanded my search area and started to cover a wider area. A gold ring on the surface has a very distinct and unique signature on a metal detector and I was hyper focused on just that signal when BOOM!  I got the signal I was hoping for…I looked down…I didn’t even have to bend down…there on the surface was her beautiful gold ring!!! I called Zack and Yasmine over and pointed down…the happiness on their faces made my day!

Zac contacted me via text message Wed night after finding me in the Ring Finders Directory. That evening he was on the street in his front of his house in Newark, DE…he picked up a stick and went to throw it and he saw and felt his gold wedding band fly off his finger…he heard one distinct “ting” where it hit street somewhere but he never saw the direction it went. He searched for hours with his eyes and rakes/brooms before reaching out to me. I told him I would be there first thing the following morning. I originally thought this would be a quick job…the ring bounced once on street and then into the grass across the street but nope…it wasn’t in the grass across the street. This is where ring finding and metal detecting experience counts! I told Zac to go grab a metal washer…we’re going to re-enact the crime…I had Zac stand where he was with washer in his left hand (he was left handed) and pretend to throw stick again and let washer fly…guess what? it didn’t fly across the street it actually flew toward his home on the opposite side. There wasn’t any grass on that side…just some mulched beds with some shrubbery. I proceeded to scan under the first shrub I came to and immediately heard the signal I was looking for…a gold ring on the surface has a very unique signature on metal detector! I bent down and lifted the low branches of the shrub…and there was his beautiful gold ring!!! With Zac 10 feet away ..I held the ring up with a triumphant look….OMG the look of relief on his face was priceless! Its so fun and rewarding to be able to come through for people…I was so happy to get the ring back on Zac’s finger!!!
