I was contact by Amber who indicated she was looking for someone to help her find a lost wedding ring at the Holiday Park Golf Course. Amber report she had been at the golf course earlier and believed.  She may have lost her wedding ring on or around the 8th green cart path. Amber said she took her ring off to apply Sunscreen while sitting in Golf cart and set it on the dash while waiting in line to tee off. Amber played that hole and when they started on the ninth, she notices the ring was missing. They immediately back track but could find the missing ring. Amber said she walked the green several times looking for her ring but was unsuccessful at finding it. Amber said she reported his lost ring to the golf course pro shop and has checked with them…but no ring had been turned in Amber said, She was pretty sure the ring was lost forever…she did a little internet research and came across The Ring Finders Ben Griswold and placed the call. After discussing the details with Amber, arrangements were made to search for the ring the following morning… The ring recovery was successful…

Lost Pendants West Orange, NJ… Found!!!

Not every recovery ends with everything being found, and that’s just the reality of this metal detecting.
Tom reached out after losing two gold pendants while golfing at Francis A. Byrne Golf Course. He was wearing a chain with a circular religious pendant and his great-grandfather’s gold cross when, sometime during the first four holes, the clasp came undone.
Thankfully, the chain stayed around his neck. Unfortunately, both pendants were gone.
That’s when Greenwood Detecting got the call. 📞
Our first trip focused on the first four holes where Tom believed the pendants had fallen. After a thorough search, we came up empty.
On the second trip, we decided to focus on the fourth hole. That’s where Tom first noticed the chain hanging around his neck. We concentrated on the area where he had taken his second shot, and this time we got a great signal. 🎯
A few minutes later, we recovered the circular religious pendant! ✨🙏
We were convinced the gold cross had to be nearby.
We searched the surrounding area over and over, then returned two more times to expand the search. We covered every area that made sense, but despite our best efforts, Tom’s great-grandfather’s cross never turned up.
Recoveries like this are bittersweet. We’re incredibly thankful we were able to return one meaningful piece of jewelry, but we never like leaving a search with unfinished business.

Lost Ring Found on Golf Course – Glendale, Wisconsin

A quick round of golf ended on a sad note for Glendale, Wisconsin, resident, Hans Wiersholm. Married just last September, his gold wedding band went missing while playing golf at the picturesque Glendale Lakes Golf Club.

A quick internet search resulted in Hans finding me on The Ring Finder’s directory of metal-detecting specialists. I was on my knees in the grass and searching for someone else’s lost jewelry when my cellphone rang. It was Hans. He explained his situation and we arranged to meet at the golf course that same evening. No pun intended, but the prospects of finding a small gold ring on a golf course was definitely a ‘long shot!’ I had visions of searching long into the night.

Upon arrival, I cross-examined Hans’ storyline and found out he had removed his golf gloves on at least two occasions. These events provided a plausible, forensic explanation for the ring coming off Han’s hand, the kind of ‘event’ that can help to narrow a search area. Following Hans, I searched the fairway on the first hole using an extra-large coil, one I keep for this very purpose. Just as we approached the green, a signal in the deep grass invited my attention—it was Hans’ ring!

Hans had a look of disbelief when I showed him his ring! Clearly, it was more than a ring! He thought it was gone forever!
