How to Find A Lost Ring at Jericho Beach, Vancouver.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I had a call the other day for a ring search at Jericho Beach, a young couple from Germany told me that they were enjoying the sunny day and playing some volleyball and the young lady who’d only been married for 4 months lost her platinum diamond ring.

I meet with them and we talked about the search and I knew it would be a quick recovery due to the fact that she knew where the ring came off. Also her and her husband went to Home Depot and bought a rake and raked the area for over 2 hours in hopes that they could find the ring.

I could tell they were very sad and most likely thought I’d have no chance in finding it…Good news was it only took a couple of minutes to see their smiles!

Lost Wedding Band in North Vancouver…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call from a young man who told me that he lost his gold ring and found me on TheRingFinders Directory. He went on to explain that he was power washing his front driveway & his back concrete patio. I met him that day and we walked the area and after asking him how he held the sprayer my first concern was that if you hold it with two hands how will your ring come off? In my mind it wasn’t lost where he thought it might be but I still searched a bit in the back for 5 minutes then we talked a bit more and I asked him if he was dirty after the clean up and he replied yes!

My next question was where did you was up? He said in the basement sink…I asked him to check the sink just in case it came of there as he told me he lost 14 lbs and his ring was fitting lose. less then 20 seconds and he came out smiling and holding up his ring!

Some times we have to ask a lot of questions and try to narrow down the search area. I could have spent hours searching the area he was power spraying but my instincts told me to check the obvious area first. This saved me loads of time!

Even though I didn’t locate this with my detector it was the questions asked that lead us to the ring and the smile!

Lost Ring in South Surrey Found/Father & Son’s Priceless Reaction!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I’m at work when I get a call from Darrell, he tells me that his son lost his grandfathers ring…(Darrell’s late Fathers Ring) you can imagine how distraught both father and son were in regards to this loss. His son Brad told me he couldn’t sleep at night he was so upset.

They told me it was a very big search area the ring could’ve been lost in and unfortunately the son didn’t know when the ring came off his finger. This makes for an extremely difficult search. As most Ring Finders know you have to be a good detective and ask a lot of questions in order to narrow down the search area… And that’s what I did.

I started walking the trail in the park searching on the left side of the trail after determining the angle of his throw and where the ring could possibly end up. I was preparing to go back after I saw the whole search area and extend the grid search further into the brush. Fortunately at the end of the trail in a very flat grassy opening where he threw three pinecones and show me the direction he was throwing, this was going to be the easiest part of the search to finish before I got invested into that very difficult trail area with all the brush and stumps.

After only four gridlines up & down I got a good signal, I look down into the grass with my pin pointer and saw his beautiful gold ring! Darrell and his son Brad were off in another location checking out a stump where he was playing. I was able to surprise them with the ring when they came back.

Lost Gold Nugget Ring in Richmond BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received and email yesterday afternoon in regards to a lost gold ring by a bus stop in Richmond. I called the person and we discussed the search and decided to meet at 8 PM.

When we met I learned what happen and how he lost his late fathers ring that was a gift…He was whipping the rain off his paints and the ing went flying. He remember hearing the ring hit the metal seats in the covered area of the bus stop. The way he showed me what he was doing made sense to us that the ring could have gone under the seats and out the back in the long grass.

What made this ring so special to the young man was it was a gift from his late father and the gold nuggets that wrapped all the way around the ring was nuggets that his father had panned in Alaska.

1/12 hours later it was found in the last spot I checked near the bus stop where I was having problems with interference from the rebar in the concrete and all the garbage in the area…I found it using my hand held Pin pointer.

Got a call in the middle of last week from a young lady by the name of Bianca who lost her silver pendent that was a gift from her sister. This young lady was also a member of the women’s rugby team at UBC where just the other week I had help another member find her lost silver pendent.

We arranged to meet this Sunday and when I met Bianca she was able to put me in a small area where she knew the pennant fell into the grass. I set up my grid and in less then 2 minutes using my Whites Surfmaster PI pro I had found the silver pendent.

Lost Tiffany Silver Pendant UBC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

The other day I received a call from a young lady by the name of Ciara that had lost a very special small Silver Tiffany Pendent in the shape of a bean. This bean was a symbol of love given to her by her mother.  Ciara is a rugby player for UBC (University British Columbia) and at practice she forgot to take her pendent off and during the workout it was ripped off her neck by accident.

She was very smart to make a mental note to the exact location it was ripped off her neck. This is fantastic as it makes the search much more easier when we can focus the search in a small area, specially when the item is so small.

I asked the type question that I always do to make sure I was in the right area and I had her put out some red cones to mark the search area.  After 10 minutes or so I bent down to check out a signal with my pin pointer and saw a little silver bean in the grass!

I put it in my hand and walked over to Ciara to ask her a few more questions and then held out the bean so she could see that I found it…I love when I can surprise people and she was surprised!!

I found out that the silver bean was her good luck charm,  she felt it helped her on her tests and on the rugby field. I’m happy that she has it back! Good Luck on your rugby season!!!

Lost Ring Vancouver, BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call from a young man who asked if I could help him find a lost ring that he’d been looking for and couldn’t find. We agreed to meet and take a look, when I got to the location the young man showed me the area, he told me that he had a few drinks with friends to celebrate his birthday and on the way home just goofing around he threw his skateboard in the garden in front of this apartment building and when he threw it his ring got caught and went with the board…It was night and he and his friends with their cell phone lights searched but couldn’t find the ring.  He came back the next day and searched and the day after but no luck. He was going to rent a metal detector and found me on TheRingFinders directory and called.

I though to myself this should be a quick search & recovery…(Not) After 40+ minutes in a small area and no ring he was giving up and saying we did our best and that he didn’t want to waste my time anymore…He obviously doesn’t know me! I thought for a while and decided to search the less obvious places like behind where he was standing when he threw the skateboard. Bingo! 5 minutes later I got a strong consistent 50 reading on my Garrett AT Gold…I sat down and moved the grass with my pin pointer and saw nothing but after I moved some dirt there it was looking back at me!

Lost Native Silver & Gold Ring at Locarno Beach, Vancouver…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

It was a hot summer day and I just got home from the beach when I got a call from a young lady who was very upset that she had lost he Native Carved Silver & Gold ring in the ocean. I asked her a few questions and found out that it was lost in high tide and well over my head in water.

I discussed the search and asked if I could meet her at the location so she could describe what happen and show me where she believed the ring was lost. When I got there she pointed out to the float dock and said it was near there where the ring had come off.

Now that I knew the area I checked my tide tool and it said that low tide was at 2am. I told her that I’d be back and search for her ring at night as the tide was going out. When I got there at 11am the tide was still too high. I searched the dry sand for a couple of hours and found some change and the usual amount of garbage. I went back into the water and it was still too deep??? Back to the dry sand and at 2 am still over my head. I checked my phone app for tide tool and it was set for la Jolla California not Vancouver Beaches! The low tide was at 10 am… so I went to my car and slept till 5:30 am got up and worked the tide as it was going out…I found the ring in waste deep water at around 8 am…

How To Find A Lost Ring On Kits Beach, Vancouver.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

The other day I went to the beach at night to cool off & relax and of course do some metal detecting. I started searching where all the people hang out by the logs during the day, there were some partiers still out there at midnight and one of my treasure hunting friends showed up so I headed to the other side of the beach away from the young kids. I was finding the coins and a ton of bottle caps then I found a silver ring. I could see the 925 stamp inside the band so I put it in my pouch and carried on.

When I got home early in the morning and after a couple of hours of sleep I was on my computer and I checked out the craigslist to find an ad about a lost silver wedding band with a great drawing of the location the ring was lost…I knew  it was the ring I found. So I sent a picture of the ring and said I think I found your ring…The phone rang minutes later and the young lady couldn’t believe that I found it. She was so excited and told me that she wasn’t going to tell here husband she was going to surprise him. They only got married two months ago and he was very sad!
