I was able to recover these buried items while metal detecting the very first questionable area of the beach! They were able to meet me there shortly afterwards and were back in safe keepings:)

March 25th,2020

I woke up to Just another bad dream that won’t go away like we all might have during these epic times. Especially living where life is on lockdown and social distancing has for the first time been enforced,Not only here in sunny San Diego but well all across the globe.

The public beaches and parks have also been closed for many days now.So I never thought I would receive a call by someone in need of my metal detector service that I’ve been apart of since 2014..Then out of the blue,,,John Hughes who’s a fellow local San Diego member of #TheRingFinders calls me requesting my help,,,to help him, help another in need!

Tammy who lives in Escondido had lost a precious gold earring that her husband bought 10yrs ago and it has been extremely difficult to find in their front yard for about a week after searching even with flashlights at night.

This call was a great opportunity to escape out of the house plus I personally felt I have an ESSENTIAL job to help anyone I can, safely during this crisis of course. So we all met while at the residence staying 6+ feet away and I was shown the area where she noticed that her earring was missing while pulling crab grass out of the front yard down a roughly 10X15 slope.

After scanning in this spaghetti like vegetated area amongst loose soil for 10-15 minutes digging up bullet shells along with a few tiny lead/foil pieces… I dug down at just another itchy and scratchy sound on my metal detector that I heard earlier and marked for later then out of amazement sparked a fire shining..like a diamond in the rocks!

Suddenly Tammy and her son rushed out of the front door while hearing us cheering out loud,Then I pointed out exactly where it is so she could pick it up while walking back down the hill. This was definitely an emotional relief for Tammy and the family as well as me & John for being able to successfully help others in need right now.

The toughest part of this search was having to keep a safe X distance, not being able to give a sincere handshake or receive a hug for once in my life on The Ring Finders Metal Detector service or ever in my life.

Cardiff Encinitas Metal detector guy found lost gold ring

TheRingFinders metal detector service helped find a lost Gold wedding band buried in the sand nearly 1 week later at Cardiff reef beach in San Diego.CALL NOW 760 889 2751

I received a call from Brandon who lost his wedding ring in Cardiff Ca and was wondering if I could help search for it?

He asked about my costs or fees ??$$ So I explained that I work on a reward basis which is entirely up to you & what you can afford:)

Then we met the next morning before the 1st northern storm arrived and spent over an hour covering many possible areas where it may of disappeared just before the hail began pounding us!!! Last minute thought while both giving up,We asked the lifeguard on duty if any lost rings where reported and no luck there,The both of us had to bolt before the lightning could strike and drove off⛈

– Over the next couple days I honestly had trouble sleeping from this call and many other hunts cause I did not feel 100% confident leaving this beach with out the proper Detector forensic scanning that was needed to be conducted,There was good evidence dug up like crusty deep nickels and long lost jewelry.

So I went back that Saturday swinging  thoroughly on a roughly hockey arena sized courtyard at Cardiff reef beach,,,Then after nearly another hour I popped this lost precious ring only steps from where I left off days before! Great lessons learned as always!

TheRingFinders Metal Detector Service helped find 2 lost diamond wedding rings at Carlsbad state beach in San Diego.OPEN NOW;CALL 760 889 2751

On Sunday morning August 11th,I received a text message regarding a lost wedding ring buried in the sand at Carlsbad state beach the day before,This is another urgent 911 Ring Finders call as there are too many Detector guys that scan this area daily/nightly combined with the limited weekend warrior parking plus crowded beaches that could very well render this recovery astray …So I was on my way immediately to help as usual…

Soon enough,I met the 3 good friends of the owner and they pointed out an area in the dry sand where they all were enjoying the beach the day before.I began scanning with my metal detector while finding lots of hidden trash for about 15-20min when I received a particular low tone reading that gave me hopes it could be the Ring I was called to search for?…As I dug it up, I was shocked seeing 2 rings in the sand scoop? Instantly after showing them what I just found it was definitely time to celebrate 🎉

The best part of these calls is when the owner gets contacted with a picture of their ring/rings after it has been safely found! Time to cheer and take photos:) I’m sure this meant a lot to them and was glad to of help find what may of been lost forever.

Oceanside San Diego Metal detector finds lost gold ring

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

TheRingFinders Metal Detector Service helped find a lost gold ring in the surf at Oceanside pier OPEN NOW;CALL 760 889 2751

On Sunday 8/11/19 I was referred an emergency ((911 Ring Finders call)) about a wedding ring just lost in the surf from a Local Ring Finder member John Hughes who was out on vacation.

I contacted the couple right away who informed me the ring was just lost 20min ago in waist deep water at Oceanside beach so I was immediately on my way….

(Timing is of the essence here as the tide levels rise and fall depending on the gravitational pull of the moon and sun.)

….Upon arriving to the scene of the lost ring,I met Rob and his wife then we both headed in the Pacific ocean where he felt the ring fall off.Initially,I had hopes of quickly finding it for them but as I was waist-chest deep while duck diving under waves in the Surfline,It was obviously a shot in the dark after an hour long search.I knew this precious ring meant a lot to them and insured them there is a better chance of recovery at 2:00am during the minus low tide the next morning where it could be only ankle-shin deep then.

It’s not easy when your alarm goes off at 1:15am However, the will & fortitude from within had me on the beach right at 2am …some how with just a half cup of coffee. After an hour of searching and expanding this small wet-line area again I was burning out with zero coffee left! 3:00am in the morning now and it’s dead low tide so I decided to scan the knee-waist deep area where the shore-break was crashing…Finally recieved a familiar ring sound on my water proof Pulse induction metal detector.,,Heart is pounding as I wait nearly a minute in between the surfs lapping intervals then plucked one precise scoop at it then out pops a heavy 18k White Gold Ring!

The best part of these kind of stories is being able to text them a picture of their lost ring the next morning:) Especially as I headed off too work on a Monday with my phone blowing up with relief and good karma. They were definitely very thankful I could help them find what may of been lost forever.

TheRingFinders Metal Detector Service helped find a lost gold ring buried at Carlsbad beach.:OPEN NOW CALL 760 889 2751

I received a call about a ring lost in the sand the evening before at Carlsbad beach. There were Q’s about charges or fees for my service which is just a reward basis and what you can afford I explained Too him,but personally upon writing this post my only concern being a member of Theringfinders was the area it was lost at is heavily metal detected by many many “Beach combers” including one I see there 3-5 times a week.

So we arranged the best time to meet later that hot sunny day in San Diego just a couple hrs before sunset when the crowds and limited parking areas began clearing up.We all Arrived promptly with hopes of a quick successful recovery,Then I asked a few Lost ring detective questions to better the chances and recovery speed while the 3 of us headed down the staircase case at Cherry st. on the south side of Lifeguard tower # 36 at Carlsbad state beach with a GPS tool scanner I use on searches which showed an approximate latitude and longitude of 33*08’ 59” N 117* 20’ 52” W

Just as the couple was showing me the approximate area we see a metal detector hobbyists swinging through the crowds basically inches from other peoples personal space & belongings…From there my hopes to help them find there lost ring shattered as he had previously/quickly scanned through the area where it was lost.

These circumstances in my position of trying to help others is discouraging as it may of already been found? However especially In my line of profession and experience I also had to remain optimistic that maybe it was missed by the new combers and old combers in the past 24hrs when it was lost? I certainly must give  ALL factors a chance.

I began a North-South grid search with my Metal Detector and not too long after I got a signal indicating a zinc penny…? So I scooped it out while surprising them by unearthing their lost precious ring buried in the sand . 😉
