Recovery # 169
While out for another recovery I was contacted by Patrick.
Earlier that day while at the beach with his family his very sentimental wedding ring was pulled off by his daughter and sank into the sand. They didn’t know exactly where but they did mark the area. I told him I could be there in about 20mins. I met him and Laura at the beach and once they showed me where they were I began a meticulous search. After digging a few coins and junk, I got a nice signal on my detector and sure enough it was Patrick’s ring! They were ecstatic I had found it! Another happy ending!

Patrick’s lost ring!
Yesterday I was contacted by George and Julia on behalf of their son Gavin. While they were at the beach enjoying themselves the day before Their son Galvin lost his Iphone 13 pro in the sand. They used find my phone to get an approximate location but it was no where to be found. At some point they believed the battery was dead because it was no longer putting out a location. They feared someone may have found it or the beach rake picked it up. I suggested the called the public works dept to see if they had it. They invited them to come down and look through the pile from the beach rake. No luck there. Once they confirmed it was not there they asked me to come out and try a search. I met them at the location and we walked to the area it last pinged using George’s phone. I started doing my search and within 5ft I got a strong signal, But in order to make sure I didn’t damage the phone with my beach scoop, I instead started digging by hand. While Gavin went to grab a plastic beach shovel I kept digging by hand about 8 inches down in an area the tide was washing over and sure enough, It was his phone! Luckily it was not water logged! Another happy ending. They were all so happy I found it!
Gavin’s Phone! Watch here!

beach yesterday in LBI (Beach Haven).
Funny thing is I found his wife’s
wedding ring last year when they were
on vacation! So they made the call and
I got it done!
Found it! While on the beach this beautiful weekend she removed her ring and put it on her towel to apply sunscreen and never put it back on. Not realizing what she had done until she got back to her beach house near panic had set in until a friend recommended my services. Arriving a couple hours later and searching the area in light rain I hit pay dirt (sand) and had her ring in my scoop! I walked back to her house as she was keeping out of the rain and held the ring out for her to see. Sheer joy came upon her worried face. Another happy customer!
Well that search didn’t go as planed? I received a call from a referral for 2 lost silver rings on a front lawn lost this weekend. I searched the lawn, flowers, leaves at curb but no luck. Although these weren’t valuable rings they carried huge sentimental value to the owner as they were her father’s and step fathers bands that she wore on her thumb. She had on gloves while doing yard work and then noticed the rings were gone? Checked the gloves but no rings and I completely covered the lawn. They have to be sitting somewhere she’s not remembering.
Now while searching the neighbor comes over and says he just lost his gold wedding ring while clearing his flowerbeds. I start searching and bang a minute later there’s his ring! That’s how the other search should have been but no luck. Recovery #131
