Lost Pendants West Orange, NJ… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
๐Ÿ™ Half the Mission Accomplished. – Shout out to @njringfinder for the lead on this one.
Not every recovery ends with everything being found, and that’s just the reality of this metal detecting.
Tom reached out after losing two gold pendants while golfing at Francis A. Byrne Golf Course. He was wearing a chain with a circular religious pendant and his great-grandfather’s gold cross when, sometime during the first four holes, the clasp came undone.
Thankfully, the chain stayed around his neck. Unfortunately, both pendants were gone.
That’s when Greenwood Detecting got the call. ๐Ÿ“ž
Our first trip focused on the first four holes where Tom believed the pendants had fallen. After a thorough search, we came up empty.
On the second trip, we decided to focus on the fourth hole. That’s where Tom first noticed the chain hanging around his neck. We concentrated on the area where he had taken his second shot, and this time we got a great signal. ๐ŸŽฏ
A few minutes later, we recovered the circular religious pendant! โœจ๐Ÿ™
We were convinced the gold cross had to be nearby.
We searched the surrounding area over and over, then returned two more times to expand the search. We covered every area that made sense, but despite our best efforts, Tom’s great-grandfather’s cross never turned up.
Recoveries like this are bittersweet. We’re incredibly thankful we were able to return one meaningful piece of jewelry, but we never like leaving a search with unfinished business.
So here’s where you can help. ๐Ÿ‘‡
If you were golfing at Francis A. Byrne Golf Course and happened to find a gold cross pendant, please reach out. Even if you find it weeks, months, or years from now, I’d love to hear from you. We know exactly who it belongs to, and would love nothing more than to reunite Tom with this special family heirloom. โค๏ธ
Treasure hunting is full of incredible wins, but it also keeps us humble. Sometimes you find everything. Sometimes you only find part of the story. Either way, we’ll always give it everything we’ve got.

Lost Wedding Ring Lake Mohawk, NJ… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
Another day, another treasure returned to its owner. โค๏ธ
We recently received a call from Erin, who had lost one of her gold rings during a family gathering in Clark, NJ.
She had spent the day enjoying time with family, playing on the bocce
ball court, hanging with the kids, and making memories. At one point during the day, she bent down to pick up a toy the child she was carrying had dropped. Somewhere in the mix, her ring fell off.
She searched everywhere she could think of, but despite everyone’s best efforts, the ring had seemingly vanished.
Since we couldn’t make it out that same day, we jumped on a video call and walked through the property together. ๐Ÿ“ฑ Erin showed us the areas she had been throughout the day and helped narrow down the most likely search location.
When we arrived, it was time to get to work. ๐Ÿ”Ž
After about 30 minutes, we got the signal we were hoping for. Gold! โœจ๐Ÿ’
Even better, Erin’s memory of where everything happened was right on the money. The ring was exactly where she thought it would be.
Recoveries like this are why we love what we do. Every search is a new adventure, every signal is a little mystery, and every successful recovery feels like finding buried treasure. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธโœจ There is nothing better than handing a priceless keepsake back to its owner and seeing the smile that follows.
If you’ve lost a ring, jewelry, keys, or another valuable item, don’t lose hope. Sometimes your treasure is only one good signal away.

Lost Wedding Ring Noe Pond Club, Chatham NJ… Found!!!

๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ’ A Photo Finish Ring
Recovery at Noe Pond Club!
Some recoveries come right down to the wire, and this was definitely one of them.
We received a call from a woman who had lost her gold ring while spending the day with her infant son at Noe Pond Club in Chatham, NJ.
While enjoying the water, she felt the ring start to slide off her finger. She was able to catch it, adjust it, and put it back on, thinking the problem was solved.
Unfortunately, sometime later, the ring slipped off for good and disappeared into the sandy bottom of the pond.
That’s when Greenwood Detecting got the call. ๐Ÿ“ž
About 30 minutes later, we were on site, and she walked us through exactly where she had been in the water. The search area was surprisingly well defined, so we got right to work. ๐Ÿ”Ž๐ŸŒŠ
One thing became obvious pretty quickly… this part of the pond had ever seen a metal detector before! ๐Ÿ˜„
Before we ever found the ring, we had already recovered more than $2 in change from the sandy bottom. ๐Ÿช™๐Ÿ’ฐ
Then the clock started working against us.
The final horn sounded, signaling that the pond was closing for the day. We knew we were down to our last
few chances.
One scoop…
Nothing.
A second scoop…
โœจ๐Ÿ’ There it was.
That bright gold ring was sitting in the scoop, shining back at us.
Talk about a photo finish! ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ
Recoveries like this remind us why we love what we do. Every search is an adventure, every signal builds the excitement, and sometimes the best recoveries happen just when it feels like time is running out.
If you’ve lost a ring, jewelry, keys, or another valuable item, don’t give up. Sometimes your treasure is just one scoop away.

Lost Wedding Ring Saucon Valley Country Club, PA… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
โ›ณ๐Ÿ’ Wedding Ring Recovered at Saucon Valley Country Club!
We were recently contacted by a golfer who lost his wedding ring during a round at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Before teeing off, he did what many of us would think is the safe thingโ€”he placed his wedding ring inside a Tupperware container and tucked it into his golf bag. After the round, he pulled the container out, but the lid unexpectedly popped off. At the time, he assumed the ring had simply fallen deeper into the golf bag.
Unfortunately, when he got home and searched the bag from top to bottom, the ring was nowhere to be found.
That’s when Greenwood Detecting got the call. ๐Ÿ“ž
We met him at the course and searched the two key locations: where he had originally placed the ring in the container and where he removed the container from his golf bag after the round.
After carefully working the area, we got the signal we were hoping for! ๐ŸŽฏ The ring was recovered about 5 feet outside the area where he thought it had fallen.
This recovery is a great reminder that our memories are rarely as precise as we think they are. Expanding the search area is often the difference between going home empty-handed and reuniting someone with something priceless.
Seeing another wedding ring safely back where it belongs never gets old. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’
If you’ve lost a ring, keys, jewelry, or another valuable item, don’t give up. Every recovery starts with a phone call.

Lost Ring Branchburg, NJ… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
Not every ring is lost by accidentโ€ฆ sometimes, itโ€™s the result of a moment of frustration. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ’
After a heated argument, one ring took an unexpected flight. Tossed over a fence and landing somewhere deep inside a group of forsythia bushes. What looked like a simple shrub from the outside turned out to be a full-on thicket, tangled, overgrown, and not exactly welcoming. ๐ŸŒฟ
Enter Greenwood Detecting.
Kati arrived on scene and got to work, quite literally diving into the brush. She carefully worked her way through what can only be described as a wiry, unforgiving tangle of branches with her pinpointer(the detector wouldn’t fit), while also doing her best to dodge patches of poison ivy along the way. ๐Ÿ˜…๐ŸŒฑ
To help narrow things down, the husband tossed a small rock over the fence, recreating the throw as best as possible. That gave her a key reference point and helped lock in the most likely search zone. ๐ŸŽฏ
About an hour into a challenging and very hands-on searchโ€ฆ success. The pinpointer hit the right tone, and the ring was recovered deep within the thicket, right where it had been hiding all along. ๐Ÿ’โœจ
Fights happen. Rings get thrown. Itโ€™s WAY more common than youโ€™d think.
Thatโ€™s why Greenwood Detecting is here, to help bring them back.
Another tough recovery.
Another story with a happy ending. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Lost Ring Glen Ridge, NJ… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
Sometimes, itโ€™s not the big spaces that hide a ringโ€ฆ itโ€™s the small, leafy ones right in front of you. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’
We were recently called out to a front yard where a ring had gone missing during a simple household task. While cleaning lint off a pillowcase outside, a quick brush of the hand sent the ring flying, landing straight into a patch of dense green vegetation.
The homeowner did everything right. She carefully combed through the leaves, checked the area multiple times, and even went the extra mile by borrowing a metal detector from the local library. Despite all that effort, the ring just wouldnโ€™t reveal itself. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Thatโ€™s when Greenwood Detecting stepped in.
After assessing the area, we began a focused search, working slowly through the vegetation and isolating signals. Within about 20 minutesโ€ฆ we hit the right tone. ๐ŸŽฏ
A quick recovery later, and the ring was back where it belongs… right on her finger and accompanied by a very relieved smile ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’
Another reminder that even the smallest patches of greenery can hide big treasures ๐ŸŒฟโœจ

Lost ring New Brunswick, NJ… Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
Snowstorms have a funny way of turning everyday routines into unexpected adventures. โ„๏ธ๐Ÿš—
One local resident was simply brushing snow off his car after the storm, nothing out of the ordinary. But with a few quick swipes, he unknowingly sent his wedding ring flying along with the snowโ€ฆ landing somewhere in a small patch of grass along the edge of his apartment building parking lot. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜ฌ
After realizing what happened, he gave Greenwood Detecting a call.
We arrived, assessed the area, and got to work. With a focused search and a bit of experience reading the signals, we began scanning the grassy edge where the snow had been tossed. Within just a few minutesโ€ฆ we got the tone we were hoping for. ๐ŸŽฏ
And just like that, the ring was recovered, safe and sound, and returned to one very relieved (and very smiling) owner. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Pro tip: Cold weather can cause your fingers to shrink, making rings looser and much easier to lose… especially when handling snow. Wearing gloves can make all the difference. ๐Ÿงคโ„๏ธ
Another quick recovery
Another great outcome
Another reminderโ€ฆ snow can be sneakier than it looks ๐Ÿ˜‰โ„๏ธ

Lost ring Glen Ridge NJ…. Found!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
After the snow settled, this husband and wife decided to enjoy a peaceful walk outsideโ€ฆ but what started as a quiet stroll quickly turned into an epic snowball fight. โ„๏ธ
Somewhere between the laughter, dodging, and a perfect snowball packing techniqueโ€ฆ a ring went missing. It wasnโ€™t until they got back home that the husband realized his wedding band had slipped off while making snowballs and was now somewhere buried beneath fresh snow.
Cue the panic.
Enter Kati from Greenwood Detecting.
With a focused search around the โ€œbattle zone,โ€ careful grid work, and a bit of patience, the ring was located, right where the snowballs were packed. Hidden beneath the snow, but not gone for good.
Another ring recovered. Another story with a happy ending.
Another marriage saved. ๐Ÿ’

Not every recovery happens in a park or on a beachโ€ฆ sometimes, it takes us straight to the curb. ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ๐Ÿ’
We recently got a call about a missing wedding ring that was accidentally tossed out with the trash. By the time we arrived, we were met with a full lineup of garbage and recycling bags stacked, sealed, and ready for pickup. Letโ€™s just sayโ€ฆ there were quite a few potential โ€œtargetsโ€ to work through. ๐Ÿ˜…
With a methodical approach (and a bit of optimism), we started scanning and working bag by bag. Fortunately, luck was on our side. The ring turned up in about the 5th or 6th bag. ๐ŸŽฏ
And hereโ€™s where Mother Nature gave us an unexpected assist: New Jersey was in the middle of a polar vortex โ„๏ธ The freezing temperatures kept everything, wellโ€ฆ nicely preserved. No odors, no mess, about as ideal as a garbage recovery can get!
Another ring safely back where it belongs ๐Ÿ’
Another relieved client ๐Ÿ™Œ
Another reminder to always double-check before tossing things out! ๐Ÿ˜‰
