Recently this summer of 2023 I received a call of urgent help from a lady who had 2 gold diamond rings disappear while boogie boarding at Camp Del Mar beach on Camp Pendleton marine base.

These type of calls are not what many people have worded to me; “Hopeless or a shot in the dark.” I know some mysteries of how the ocean works along this littoral cell. Especially when it’s only been a day or 2 in the ocean along this particularly flat wet beach. Gold has a density 19.3 times greater than water meaning it won’t move,,,Only sink!  I assured her there is a good chance I could find it!

So we arranged the very next morning during an early 7:00am minus Low tide then was shown an approximate area she was riding the waves 4’+ deep. She had to head back home nearby to take care of her newborn meanwhile I scanned & scanned & scanned some more for over an hour until I was nearly too far gridding from where it could of been,,,Like many times in my past,,,As soon as I think about calling quits…I end up finding it. That’s when a familiar itchy scratchy low tone signal beeped on my Minelab Equinox metal detector. After 2 Scoops the small round band came popping out!  I checked around the hole and no signals though where’s the 2nd ring??,,,I always fill my holes as usual and one important thing to do is check your holes before filling them as a detectorist’s Murphy law cause The main mothers diamond ring was just one more scoop down!  I text her pictures of the rings saying they are safe now and even delivered them for her. She was so relieved as you can see in the book of smiles:)

Recently this summer of 2023 I received a call from Sandra asking if I could help find a lost ring buried in the sand at Cardiff beach. We arranged a time to meet there shortly after the call and I arrived promptly with my metal detector to conduct a grid search. Fortunately it was lost in a small area 8’X8’ roughly and I was able to unearth this lost precious heirloom gold ring for her pretty quickly.  Another ring saved before the local pirates raided this beach!

One Recent night ago,,I received a call to help a gentleman find his lost wedding ring of 7 years that fell into the dry sand volleyball court at La Jolla shores beach.
At that time I was at home which is a 32 min drive away but couldn’t leave at the drop of a hat,, So I suggested another ring finder that’s located closer but he text me back & I got the Nod.

So off I went with a big cup of iced coffee driving 88mph in the slow lane at 8:30p.m!  Upon arriving to the dark scene of the lost ring he shows me the area where he felt it fly off when he was playing volleyball. I started grid scanning with my trusty Dual field metal detector and just after finding a piece of buried trash & bottle cap,,,I unearthed his precious wedding ring from the grains of sands. That’s when the sound of cheers/relief kick in…! Thank you for the kind reward:)

Recently I received a referral to find a lost Gold wedding band at the beach from a local Ring Finder John Hughes who was originally called and referred from the Lifeguards.

The couple contacted me on a Sunny Sunday may 7th with just a few questions & concerns,,I jumped in my vehicle arriving around 30 min.  They spotted me walking down so we began to go over the story showing an area where it might be lost amongst the crowded beach goers…I turned on the metal detector and dug a dime,Nickel & Called them over when I received a particular signal similar to gold yet better than a nickel,,So I used my hand as a scoop to remove that signal from the sand while holding just my hand open when nothing happened….Once I blew the sand off my palm is then when Ty’s Precious gold ring magically appeared. :):):).  To my astonishment I was also blown away as the beach goers all around roared with cheers clapping as they watched this unfold…

This search took less than a minute to find it..But really it just takes one phone call to Curtis Cox 760 889 2751  ((The San Diego metal detector service.)) Member of TheRingFinders.Com

Here’s another quick search and easy recovery of a lost woman’s gold wedding band in the beach sands.  Megan had lost her ring the night before and contacted me to see if I could help. Fortunately I live nearby Carlsbad Ca, So I met her husband after work hours to the location.

They weren’t really sure when it disappeared just that they parked in the dirt “Turn around” parking lot then walked down the cliff path to the shoreline. Trouble I have experienced with these calls are too & from areas with compact dirt,Pavement & public goers passing by where a Gold ring would shine,be seen and picked up.  Only one of these search areas in the photo below was worth hope or even turning on my Metal detector!

So I had him bring me down to where they hung out for a bit on the dry fluffy beach sand…Well…Sure enough,,,I turned on my machine,,It beeped and with my bare hand scoop I unearthed this precious wedding band. They were very relieved and thankful for my help. San Diego Ring Finder saves the day with a metal detector & defies gravity!

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The San Diego Ring Finders Metal detecting service helped find a lost precious platinum diamond ring tossed out of the car window with an egg!   Call Curtis Cox 760 889 2751 for any roadside lost ring emergencies.

Having been a member of The Ring Finders Service for over 9 years,,I can definitely say I have Not heard it all and probably never will when it comes to the infinity of ways rings have been lost.

This story was interesting to hear from a lady named D.D in Carmel valley,San Diego who accidentally threw both of her diamond rings out the car window while discarding a hard boiled egg for her husband driving.

They pulled over immediately afterwards on the side road searching the easement amongst the plants/vegetation and found the egg including the main diamond ring which landed a few feet behind but could not see the platinum diamond band any where in sight?   Fortunately they thought about a metal detector being useful and found my contact info online later that night.

When we met near the scene of the lost ring there was one hurdle being that this is a narrow and windy road with no parking. So our plan after hopping in her car was to show me the area real quick while her hazard lights were on then she would park down the street a few blocks for the mean time. I knew time was of the essence in addition the sun was setting soon that afternoon as well…

My hypothesis of the most logical place this “Object in Motion” could have ended up at comes from Einsteins theory of general relativity..Including Issac Newton’s apple rolling after falling from a tree.

Sure enough,,Not even a minute of scanning with my metal detector I miraculously found her ring 15-20’ past the egg buried inside of short thick plant that was also 10-12” off the ground.

She was so amazed and relieved I found it so quickly,,I can say the same thing for myself also!! ..;)  as I took some photos defying gravity with our smiles into the planet.
