One late night during this summer I was conveniently out around 10:00 P.M. scanning Carlsbad state beach primarily to test out an old metal detector machine that I tore apart and modified.
After finding one of my best “Coin spill” records which was exactly 99 coins in a 1 foot hole,,,Never ending digging,,Multiple coins per scoop I definitely knew my machine was working well and was going to call it quits for the night when my phone rang….
Rebecca was wondering if I could help find a lost ring buried in the sand at Carlsbad beach? I said; (Yes I can and just so happen to be on the beach in Carlsbad.) Even more ironic I was only 1 lifeguard tower away from the area she described.
I headed over there to scan around with my metal detector to both of our amazements,,I found & retrieved it from the beach sands in only 30 min of receiving this call!
We met the next morning nearby and Rebecca was very relieved to have this very sentimental custom made Silver ring back on again.
