Joseph called me for help in finding his lost ring. He had been playing volley ball with friends, when he hit the ball, and his ring flew off. After an unfruitful search in the sand at the court, he called. I was available, and knowing that he was still at the spot encouraged me to go immediately to try and have a successful recovery.

When I got to the beach Joseph saw me walking in his direction, and waved me over. We talked a bit about what had happened, where he was standing when he hit the ball, and where he believed the ring went into the sand. I got my equipment ready, and let him know that it could possibly be in another part of the court, but my search would find it. I began in the direction he showed me, and within 30 seconds I was able to give him back his ring. He was very happy, and I was happy for him. A great day!

I received a call from Eitan about his lost ring. He was at the beach with his children when while they were playing in the sand, he threw some sand, and his ring went with it. I left right away to insure that he stayed in the spot, and that I could have the best opportunity for a successful recovery.

When I arrived at the beach, it did not take long to find Eitan, and I could see that he had been hard at work with a sifter going through the sand. He showed me the area he believed the ring to be lost, and I got set up to search. Before I got started, a gentleman who had been passing by wanted to know what we were doing, so Eitan and I let him know about the ring. He got excited about the search, and stood around talking to Eitan while I searched. I searched in the area that was given as a possible area of loss, but it wasn’t to be. I then began working my way back to where Eitan had his bags, and had already sifted the sand. I got the signal I was hoping for, dug, and had the ring. I held it up, and before Eitan could come and retrieve it, the gentleman that was talking to him ran over and hugged me. That recovery made everyone happy. This is a wonderful service for sure.

Shelly contacted me after desperately searching for the rings she lost at the beach while out with her family. They were still at the spot, so I let them know I would leave immediately to come and help them.

When I got there Shelly met me, and explained what had happened. She showed me where she had been when the rings were lost, so I had a good reference as to where to begin. I received a call from Jane on a rainy Sunday night about a lost ring. She and a friend had been at the beach, and decided to go in the water, but wisely removed her ring before going in and placed it with her belongings. When she came out of the water she picked up her things forgetting about the ring, and by that time the ring had vanished in the soft sand. I let her know I would come right away, so she said that she would wait.

When I found them they were waiting near the slope down to the water with a light rain coming down, and I could see next to them a large square area of disturbed sand where they had been searching for the ring. I asked Jane exactly what happened, and exactly where the loss probably occurred, and got a bit of disagreement between her and her friend about the where. Although the area was large, I decided to begin in the middle, and work out one side, and then the other. I began my grid, and about halfway into the first pass got a very strong signal and scooped the sand. I checked the hole, and knew that whatever it was, it was now in the scoop. As I shook the scoop to rid it of the sand I felt something heavy. When looking in after the sand was gone, I saw a very large gold ring just as Jane described. I held it up for her, and she and her friend were astonished that it was right in the middle of where they had searched, but were unable to find it. She was very happy to have it back, and I was thankful to be of help.

Raj went for an early morning swim at the beach, and so to hide his key fob while he was in the water, he put it in a Ziplock bag, and buried it beneath his towel. His problem occurred when in a hurry to get back to his car, he grabbed the towel, and rushed to the parking lot. When he called, I let him know I would come right away because I know the county uses very good cleaning machines on that beach.

When I got there Raj met me, and took me out to the area of the loss. He wasn’t specifically sure of the exact location, so I asked him to mark off a generous area to search, and if I needed to expand the area I would. The area was fairly large, but I commenced my grid going pass by pass slow and sure to cover every inch of sand. I kept working, and then about halfway through, on the outer edge of his line, I found the fob. He was surely happy to know he could get on to his work with no delay. I was happy to be of help.

Eric called having lost his wedding ring the day before, hoping I would be able to find it for him. When he told me the beach he had lost it at, I told him that this was one of the cleanest beaches in the Southern California area because the county cleans the beach daily with very good machines. I could tell he needed closure, and we agreed to meet that day.

When I got there Eric met me and we walked out to the area he believed he lost the ring. As we walked out the sand was smooth as could be from the machines going over the sand that morning which wasn’t a good sign. We got to the spot which was near the slope to the water, and there was a strip of about 1 to 2 feet of sand that was untouched by the machine. I began my search in the area he showed me which was smooth, but worked the untouched area as well. Low and behold, in that small section of untouched sand I found Eric’s ring. I be honest, it surprised the both of us. What a happy reunion.

Sandy contacted me about a lost ring. Her friend was visiting from overseas, and while in the yard, he lost his ring in the thick grass. He had gotten the ring when he visited North Africa, so it had special meaning to him. I arranged with Sandy for a time to come and do the search.

When I got to the house, Sandy came out, and took me to the back yard. She explained what happened to make the ring come off, and gave me a general area of where to search. It was a nice area with no trash metal in the grass, so I figured the when I received a signal, I would have found the ring. I went about 20 feet, pass after pass with silence, and then the detector sounded off. I pulled out the pin pointer, and found the ring quickly. Karen called after just losing her wedding ring at the old “Muscle Beach” next to the Santa Monica pier. She was going to go on the rings, so she took her ring off so as not to lose it, but in the process, dropped it in the sand, and could not find it. I left immediately to get there for the search.

When I got there Karen was waiting for me, and took me to the area of the loss. She explained what had happened, and showed me where she was standing when she dropped it. We asked the people in the area if they would allow me to work in the area to find the ring, and they were very gracious in allowing the search. I was contacted by Edwin who had lost his wedding ring at the beach 2 days prior. He had been visiting from Fresno, and had already gone back home but really needed closure on his lost ring, so I asked him to give me all of the necessary directions to guide me back to the exact area he had been. A tough call, but he was able to give me pretty good information for the search.

I followed his exact guideline when I got to the beach, and began my search. Fortunately there were not any people in the area the loss occurred, but it had been 2 days! I started searching, covering a much larger area just to make up for the time element and remembrance issues. I wanted to be sure I covered every possibility. I worked the area for about 30 minutes, finding many different items, but no ring until I got a very good signal, dug, and found his ring. I immediately sent him a picture of the ring telling him of the successful search. When I got home I went directly to the Post Office, and put Edwin’s ring in the mail for him, and then sent him the tracking information. Another happy return!

I got a call from a young man who had lost his phone. He was on a small bridge over a section of a river near his house, when while taking pictures, he dropped the phone in the water. I asked how long it had been since the loss, and he told me a week. My heart dropped when he told me the amount of time that had gone by, but he assured me that the phone should still be there, so I drove out to meet him.

When I got there we walked out to the spot where the loss occurred, and he explained what happened. He also told me that he had done his own searches during that week to no avail. I looked into the water, and the deepest area was no more than 4 feet deep with a sandy bottom, and I was having a hard time figuring out why he wasn’t able to find it; it should have just been laying there! Well I got ready, and stepped into the water, and as soon as my foot hit bottom I understood why it disappeared, there was 8 inches of silt that looked like sand. The bottom was real clean of metal trash, and then under the bridge I received a real good signal, put my scoop in, and up came a beer can. I searched again, and in the same area another good signal, this time it was his phone. It was still there after a week, and still working; amazing. Made his day!
