The First Bloom of Spring…..Made Their Hearts Sing!
For just about a year Brendan and his wife had no idea where her ring went missing. Their love of milkweed and the pretty flower it produces inspired them to design a custom ring for Diana. While planting some to attract butterflies is when Brendan thinks the ring vanished. Diana was also busy with other tasks on the property, so they really weren’t sure. I started my grid search on the path Diana took from the house to the garden area. Since the property was once a farmhouse from the late 1800’s I started to see many deep iron targets on my MXT metal detector meter which I quickly passed over. Getting a bouncy signal in where the ring signal would be I dug a piece of foil. Rechecking the ground a new signal sounded good. Pinpointing the item, I dug down about an inch and saw what looked like a flower that was happy to see sunlight again! It was Diana’s ring! Texting them to come out, when they got to me, looking in the hole, Diana plucked the ring from the ground. As huge smiles appeared on their faces, I said what an unusual way to sow the seeds of love!
