Don and his wife were vacationing on Clearwater Beach when Don realized his wedding ring was missing. He had been in the water but may have lost it on the beach while in the dry sand. They were given our SRARC Ringfinder info from the Life Guard on duty and contacted Howard Metts several days latter. A hunt was scheduled with Rob Clarke, Howard Metts, Joe Montione, Pat Montione, and Ed Osmar responding. They hunted the dry sand for an hour with no luck. The team hunted the water for another hour before Howard came up with the ring. Howard mailed the ring to Seattle Washington and Don sent back a photo with the ring back on his finger again. Great job team!

Karen took off the gold school ring she received from her grandmother who had passed last year and placed it on her shirt in the sand. When leaving she picked up the shirt and the ring vanished in the sand. She found our SRARC Ring Finders website and contacted Howard Metts who set up a hunt. Rob Clarke, Howard Metts, Joe Montione, Pat Montione, and Ed Osmar hunted for well over an hour. Finally Karens friend remembered he took a picture with GPS coordinates, this placed us a few hundred yards down the beach. Finally Howard came up with the ring at the waters edge. What a happy ending for Karen’s Florida vacation, she now has a story to go with her grandmother’s ring! Way to go team SRARC!

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Dylan and Nicole were in town from Denver to visit family and friends, and to hang out at the local beaches. Dylan was standing in the water at Indian Shores Beach throwing the football when his white gold wedding band came off his finger. The search that followed proved unproductive, and an internet search led Dylan to Ringfinders. He contacted SRARC vice president Joe Szemer, who put out a notice about the loss. Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler responded and met Dylan at the site. Dylan stayed as long as he could, but eventually had to leave to meet family in Clearwater. After two hours of unsuccessful hunting, Bill and Mike were getting concerned. They decided to go outside the boundaries of the search zone, and within a few minutes, the ring was found! They contacted Dylan, who rushed back to the beach with Nicole to meet Bill and Mike in the parking lot! The photo shows how excited this wonderful couple was to have their sentimental item back! Since he had to return to Denver the next day, SRARC is especially glad that Dylan could relax and enjoy the last day of his Florida vacation!

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Tyler and his large extended family from Indiana were staying at a condo on Reddington Beach, enjoying the Florida sun, sand and surf.  Tyler placed his wedding band on a towel to apply sunscreen, and the next thing he knew, his ring was missing.  Everyone pitched in and raked through the sand with their fingers, but with no success.  While looking online about how to rent a metal detector, they found the site for SRARC and Ringfinders.  Tyler called for assistance, and a notice was sent out to the group.  Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler responded to the site, where Tyler and his family had been keeping careful watch over the area.  In less than five minutes, Mike held his scoop out to Tyler, who saw the ring inside and excitedly plucked it out.  We’re glad to see Tyler reunited with his ring so that he can continue to enjoy his beach vacation!

While washing the sand off her feet before leaving she noticed the ring was no longer in her pocket. She called her friend Austin a fireman with Clearwater who contacted Howard Metts. A hunt was set for the next day with Rob Clarke, Dimitur Alipiev, Ed Osmar, Gary Leyland, and Howard Metts attending. Annie was showing us where she sat on the sand when Gary looked down and saw something shiny. He turned his machine on to verify it was metal and produced the ring, most of us never had a chance to turn on our machines! A quick hunt with a very happy ending and a very thankful Annie. Great job team!

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Sean and Angela were visiting Sean’s parents and decided to take a walk to a house they were going to buy nearby. They started the walk down the sidewalk and got about four houses away when Angela spotted something and swung her arm up to point. As her arm flew up, off flew her wedding band. She saw where it went into the grass along the sidewalk so they searched until dark and then again the next morning but could not find it. Now this was no standard ring. Sean had the wedding band custom made to fit around his grandmothers wedding ring. Although they still had the grandmothers engagement ring the custom gold band representing their marriage was lost. Angela googled “how to find a lost gold ring” and found the SRARC website with it’s success stories and the rest is history. Since the search area was so small Howard Mett’s called Mike Miller and he met Sean and Angela at the site a short time later. In a few minutes Mike found the ring hidden under the grass and was rewarded with lots of smiles and laughter.

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Sam and Robin came down from New York to get away from the cold and to visit with their parents. They headed out to the beach to enjoy the sun and watch the waves and wildlife on the Gulf of Mexico. When they laid their towels out to sit on, Sam decided to hide his wedding ring in the towel so he wouldn’t loose it in the water. That is usually a very smart move but this time it backfired. As they packed up to leave Sam flipped his towel to clear the sand off and then instantly remembered his ring was hidden in that towel. They spent some time searching in the sand but had no luck. Then Robin remembered overhearing someone telling a story about The Ring Finders recovering a lost heirloom item for them. She grabbed her phone and googled “the ring finders”. Up popped the SRARC ring finders site and she immediately called Joe Szemer. Joe sent Mike Miller to meet them right away. Mike arrived right at sunset and within a few minutes Sam had his ring back on his finger. When the ring came out of the sand the whole beach crowd cheered and hugs and smiles were everywhere. Always a pleasure to see the smiles and relief on the peoples face when we can help the out.
