Lost White Gold Wedding Band at Paradise Cove Beach...FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began last month when I was contacted by Robbie from Woodbury, Minnesota.  While enjoying the waters of Paradive Cove lagoon his White Gold Wedding Band fell off and disappeared in waist deep water.  Like the other Ko Olina lagoons the sand is so soft rings just disappear.  After a bit of confusion as to who was trying to contact me, Robby contacted me by phone to coordinate the hunt.  I agreed to go after work Friday 18 April with ideal surf & tide conditions. When I arrived it started to pour down rain but I’m in the water so not a problem.  I was just hoping the sun would come back out to warm me up.  Surely it did and the hunt became that much more pleasant.  Robby sent me a pin drop of the estimated location but I decided since I had a few hours I would start on the South end and work Northward.  I found a few coins and two little girl bling rings.  Then in waist deep water I got a nice tone on the Manticore and in one scoop there was Robby’s White Gold Wedding band in the scoop.  I immediately went to my car to text Robby a pic and he confirmed the recovery.  His pin drop was spot on the location.  That was a first.  Most are way off! Robby got his ring today in the mail and sent me a “Shaka & a Smile”.  Aloha to Robby!
