Wedding Ring Lost At Topsail Beach Found & Returned

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Christian was spending a beautiful day on the beach with his 9 month old along his side.  For safe keeping, Christian placed his wedding ring in one of his shoes that he had removed.  Seeing that his little one needed attention, he leaned over to tend to his child when his foot kicked and accidentally kicked the shoe containing the ring.

After failing to locate the ring is the soft sand, he resorted to the internet and called me to assist.  I sensed an urgency in his voice and headed to his location promptly.  Christian showed me the lines in the sand I asked him to mark the boundaries of where he believed the ring to be located.  Starting in the middle of his box it was only a couple of search lines before his ring spoke to my detector.  As the sand sifted through my fingers his wedding ring appeared.

Ring Lost In Surf At Wrightsville Beach Found On Sandbar

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

While surfing the North Carolina coastline with friends, Marcus was hit by a wave that sent him off of his board.  Unfortunately, he also felt his wedding ring slip off of his finger into the surf.

Marcus informed me later that this ring belonged to his late grandfather who Never took it off.  Marcus’s mother made him promise to also never take it off before she gave it to him.

Marcus’s wife contacted me shortly afterwards and we agreed to meet the following morning for more favorable conditions.   Water searches are, of course, not ideal conditions and I’m sure Marcus thought the ring was gone forever.  About 50 minutes into my search and just after speaking to Marcus, my detector rang out a very good tone.  I yelled out to him “I think I’ve got it!”  he came over just as I raised my sand scoop and was flushing out the sand & shells.  I peeked in and saw the gold then let him reach in and retrieve his cherished heirloom.  It was a very emotional moment and this time the ocean did not win!

While flying a kite on Emerald Isle beach, the string slid past the young lady’s ear and pulled her earring out.   Unable to locate the earring in the dry sand during the windy day, they decided to call me later that evening to help in the search and recovery.  We used the remaining earring to test the detectors.  Once the tone was acquired the search began.  It was a difficult recovery but everyone was happy in the end when the missing earring revealed it’s resting place.

Gold Bracelet Lost On Emerald Isle Beach Found Days Later

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Rickey was spending the Forth of July holiday with family and friends and began to throw a ball while in knee deep water.  It was at this time the bracelet, that belonged to his deceased father,  flew from his wrist into the ocean.

Rickey’s brother-in-law found out about our metal detecting services and Rickey contacted me 11 days later.  On the 12th day, Rickey gave me the location he was at during the loss and I began my search.  To my surprise, it was the 1st target in the area.  It was deep in the sand and almost out of my detecting depth range.  Rickey was shocked, relieved and shaking when I sent him the above picture of the bracelet on my detector.   Rickey said in a text message: “I feel like part of my dad is back!!”

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Harrison and Diana were visiting family on Emerald isle when they decided to take their puppies to the beach.
Harrison’s story:
“We had just gotten to the beach, and put sunscreen on. Then, it was down to the water to take the pups in for a swim and to cool down. About 10 minutes later, I realized that my ring was missing. We searched the area where we were sitting, but figured that it was lost in the water. We called Steve, who agreed to meet us later that evening since the tide was coming in. We are so happy with his work in finding the ring, his professionalism, and his willingness to keep searching. Thank you!”

After a 2 hour search, the ring was located and returned with a very happy wife nearby!

Amber was spending a day at the beach with family and decided to go for a swim.  The newlywed of only 6 weeks noticed her rings were slipping and tried to clean the sunscreen from her finger.  It was then the engagement ring slipped away and fell into the 2 foot surf.  After a frantic search, she promptly started a search on the internet and this led her to The Ring Finders!   Amber contacted me and we arranged a meeting time shortly afterwards.  Amber felt I was her only hope of ever seeing the ring again.

I began my search in the area Amber and her family had marked with lines in the sand.  They were very accurate and although it had settled in the sand down about 8 inches, it was almost in the middle of the lines they had laid in the sand.

Lost Wedding Ring In Jacksonville, NC Found In Yard

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Kaitlyn’s Words:

“It all started on a sunny day, playing with my puppies in my backyard right before I was about to go to work. The dogs got excited and got out of our fence, I then panicked  and go to get them that way they don’t get to far away from me, it wasn’t until I was coming back to the house I realized I lost my wedding ring! I had a pretty good idea it had to have been somewhere in my back yard, the weeds were high, the fence was broken, and I was about to go to work. A recipe for disaster. I prayed over it after spending hours on end looking for it myself.  It wasn’t until the next day, I was worried because I did everything in my power to look for it, I go onto google and just typed it ring finders just trying to see what would happen or what hints they would give me. It then brought me to a page where I found Steve! I guess more people lose there wedding rings than I thought. Steve  came out the very next day, he looked for hours, and didn’t give up until he found it, and returned it to its proper place. He is an angel. And I’m so grateful to have found him! ”

Kaitlyn was not home when the ring was recovered but her active duty Marine husband Baylen was there to pick the ring up off of the ground after my discovery!
