Residents in Newport Beach call metal detecting expert to help finding items lost in the sand.. Call now if you need help ..

*** Bob lives a block away from the sand in Newport Beach. He loves to body surf in the waves a couple times a week. His habit is to leave his towel on the dry sand with his house keys, which he has done for years.

This time was different because he could not find his house keys after drying off. The keys were on a long necklace size chain which should have been an easy find. Nevertheless his house keys could not be located by a hand search.

He called me and I was able to meet him shortly after he called.  It didn’t take long to find the house keys using my metal detector. Bob was happy to get the keys back, so he didn’t have to break into his house..

… Chris had put his diamond stud earring in his pocket while he was watching a soccer game at a park in Irvine, CA.. As he was getting into his car he realized his stud earring was not in his pocket. It must have been pulled out while removing his celphone to take pictures.

He called me to help and we met the next morning. He brought the matching earring for me to check with my detector. This sample earring did not have a backing and I was unable to get a signal with my best small item metal detector. Two other negative problems were not looking good for a successful recovery.

The grass had already been mowed and he showed me a large area where he had been the of the loss. Chris wanted to call off the search. I suggested that we give it a 30 minute try as we were already at the location.

After a few minutes under almost impossible conditions we found his super small diamond stud earring visually. I know from past searches that these recoveries are not always found using a metal detector. We were already at the location, why not give it a try. That’s how we can make a miracle happen.

… Victoria called me after she found my contact information online. She had lost her white gold nail bracelet at Laguna Beach the day before. She was on her way to the location and knew she would have a better chance to find it if she asked for the help of an experienced metal detector person.

We met on the beach soon after she contacted me. The area of the loss was probably half the size of a football field which is not impossible but could be time consuming.

We were lucky enough to start in the right area. The bracelet was found in less than a half hour.

It was a pleasure to be available to help Virginia find her bracelet. Thank You !  for trusting me to find your sentimental piece of jewelry.

… Robert and Monique were at Balboa Pier which is located in the city of Newport Beach, CA. Monique dropped her gold diamond stud earring in the sand.

After frantically search by hand with no success, Robert contacted me asking for help. I did tell him there was a possibility that it may be difficult to find with a metal detector because some stud earrings don’t have enough metal.

I do have a special detector that has settings that work well for small gold and I carry  sifting equipment if necessary.

This search was successful using my high frequency metal detector settings. Thankfully it was not buried too deep in the sand after all their attempts to find it.

This was an hierloom past down from a relative and irreplaceable. I always feel good after these small metal recoveries because they can be difficult to find.

*** Barbie was staying with her family in the summer beach front rentals in Newport Beach, CA. While playing catch with a football in ankle deep water both her diamond engagement ring and wedding ring came off her finger falling into the surf. Immediately the rings disappeared in the saturated wet sand.

She was able to contact me shortly after the loss, after someone on the beach gave her my contact information. The tide was too high to do a search when she called me. We did have time to determine the general location. The next low tide would be 2am, so I told her I would be there to do a thorough grid search at low tide.

These types searches are not the same as searching a field , because beaches have various forms of sand movement. It is possible that as much as a foot of sand can move in which would put the ring out of the detection range of most metal detectors. Sometimes people misjudge how deep they were in  the water. I try to explain to people what our chances are,  before giving them false hope.

This was one was one of the good conditions that made this a successful search. It still took about an hour of slow methodical grid searching in the dark of night to find the two rings. It gets a little discouraging because there were no other metal signals and it’s difficult to keep a straight line in shallow water. It’s a game of inches with small items like a ring there’s always a chance of missing the item.

I had found both rings within two feet of each other. I did sleep in that morning, 2 am searches take some recovery time. Some time after 9 am the next morning I sent Barbie a photo of the rings. We met a couple hours after the call for the return.

Don’t waste your time renting or buying a cheap metal detector. If you don’t have any experience operating one, it could be very frustrating. …Kayla  was enjoying a beach party at “T Street Beach”, San Clemente, CA. when she lost her diamond engagement ring in the sand. She was recently engaged and wanted  to show off her beautiful new ring to her friends.

Normally, she would not wear jewelry to the beach. This time was an exception because she would only be sitting on the beach, promising herself to be very careful with her new ring.

She was standing next to the refreshment table when someone unexpectedly tossed her a volleyball. She caught the ball and threw it back to the person. Her new engagement ring went flying off her finger into the sand.

After two hours with a dozen people trying to find the ring, she called me for help. I was on the beach after driving 20 miles a half hour before sunset. It did take awhile to find the ring, because it had landed in a place where there had been an old firepit, littered with nails and aluminum trash. One of the obstacles that interfere with metal detectors is trash metal. One reason to call an experienced metal detector professional. Also it does help to know the general area of the loss. Kayla did her part by marking the spot she was standing when her ring flew off her finger. I showed up in a promptly with the best metal detecting equipment to make this a successful recovery..  I love helping people like Kayla find their cherished sentimental jewelry.

Platinum Wedding Ring Found in Sand at Beach Engagement Celebration with a Metal Detector

Stan the Metal Detector Man can help you find your lost ring or other metal item .. Call or text. 949-500-2136
… I received a call from Zachary , who lost his platinum ring while he was at an engagement beach party in Newport Beach, CA. It was a large party with over 100 people attending. They were set up for a whole day on the beach with several shade canopies and umbrellas. Also many towels and beach chairs set up for the event.

I was a bit concerned that he wasn’t sure where the ring came off his finger and so many people were still here at the general area of the loss, which would make it difficult to do a proper grid search. Also, I felt walking through the group of party goers might interfere with the celebration.

I told Zachary that it would be no problem to come back after the party is over. That was the plan, except while I was here, we decided to scan a couple easy to detect areas that he suspected the ring might be.

After pulling out my detector, I got all kinds of attention from many of the people at the party. At the second spot he directed me only 10 ft.x 10ft. square. I got the unique sound of a platinum wedding band.  Boom !! Successful recovery almost before anybody knew I was searching for a lost ring.

*** Jordan called me believing his platinum wedding ring came off his finger while digging in the sand with his daughter.  He and his family are on vacation in Newport Beach, CA.

We met on the beach as the tide was rising. The sand castle was still accessible to detect with my water proof metal detector. After about a half an hour the ring was not found. I asked a few more questions, specifically if he had been swimming earlier in the day.

He had been boogie boarding a couple hours before discovering his ring missing.  Even though he didn’t think it was lost while in the water at low tide, I told him I would come back later that night to search the low tide. Six hours later I returned that evening.. BOOM! successful recovery. I have better success finding rings lost while boogie boarding than I have from people that lose their rings while surfing or body surfing.

Jason was amazed that his ring was actually found where he thought he had still had it on after boogie boarding.

*** Terry and Dan were enjoying the day at Newport Beach. They were set up for the day with a shade canopy and everything for a special picnic planned by Terry. In the process of organizing the beach party, Terry realized her big diamond engagement ring of 23 years was missing from her finger.

Dan found my contact information with an internet search. I was able to meet them on the beach shortly after the call, because I live a couple miles from their location at Newport Beach.

Terry was devastated, upset because she had not left the ring at home,  as she normally does.  Also, she has worn this ring for over 23 years. After I found out she had not left this 50ft. x 50ft. area since she last saw it. I assured her this could be an easy recovery.

Soon after hearing her story I was able to find her awesome 4.2 ct. white gold diamond ring.
