“Hi Robert! My name’s Summer and I just found you on Ringfinders. I have just lost my recently-passed grandmother’s ring. She suddenly lost her life this past March and my family and I have been nothing short of distraught. She wore this ring every day and even had it on when she passed. I know you’re based in Lincoln, so it’s a bit of a longshot, but I lost my ring in the Red Willow Reservoir in Mccook. It’s a long drive and quite the ask, but this ring means the world to me and I am at a loss of what to do. Your success rate is nothing short of significant, and I would so greatly appreciate your help.”

Clinton was out taking care of his horses when they got a little out of hand. While trying to separate them his ring must have flown off because as he was leaving later he noticed it was missing. He gave me a call and the rest is history.  Always a privilege to put a smile back on a face.

Terry, like all of us have, was feeling the frustrations of life. In a moment of lasps the ring was taken off and thrown. Thrown into one of the worst locations, filled with trash and landscaping debris. She immediately regretted this……She tried to find it. Many times returning to the spot, sliding down the steep hill in desperation. She even bought a metal detector, grasping at anything she could do to find her ring. Hadyah had been gifted a gold bracelet from her boyfriend 2 years ago. After a day filled with fun with friends she noticed her bracelet was missing.  After talking, we realized that the sand volleyball court was the best place to start. I chose to use the Minelab Manticore because of the small signal that the gold would give off. After starting I realized that EMI was going to be an issue.  I finally settled in on using the 40KHZ setting to get it stabilize. This was a private court and had lots of signals of coins and bits and pieces of other jewelry. 75% of the way through the area I finally got a low and dirty signal but clear and consistent. It’s always an honor to recover such an irreplaceable item for someone.

Nathan had contacted me, asking me if I could find a ring that he lost 2 years ago in a sand pit lake. We chatted, set up a day and met out there. He showed me the area that he thought it was in. Water was 60 degrees so my plan was to use hip waders and then progress to 8mm wet suite backed by my Blu3 Nomad dive system.  On the last pass before needing to break out the dive equipment I got the signal. In the scoop was a ring of 15 years. Alway my honor to help someone get back something so irreplaceable.

Joe was walking along the outside of the golf course pickup up trash and stray balls. He had his phone in his shirt pocket.  When he got back home it wasn’t there. His wife and him walked the area four times looking for it with no success.  Later that day they were supposed to get upgraded phones with a trade in. Yep that meant that the lost phone now couldn’t be called and tracking it with an app was now impossible.  My son and I along with Joe set out to find it. The more eyes the better and 2 metal detectors also. Rest is history.  Always a pleasure to meet new people and put smiles back on people’s faces.

Ron had contacted me about finding a property pin on his big acreage.  As we were talking after the pin was found he mentioned that he had lost his wedding ring about 7 years ago when he broke through the ice on the pond. I came back another day and we walked the area trying to recall as many details as possible about the day he lost it. Well many pull tabs, fishing weights and bullets later I decided to fan out in the opposite direction that we thought his ring might have gone. This is how most recoveries are. Judith found me on Theringfinders.com as she was trying to figure out what to do about her granddaughters lost hearing aid. Her granddaughter had put it in her hoodie pocket at school during recess and after many different actives realized later that night that it had fallen out. I headed to the park which was one of her first stops to check that off the list. Just as I was running out of real-estate, I got a crazy signal. I have learned that hearing aids are difficult and their signals are odd. It was my honor to help this family out.

Daniel had lost his wedding ring of 11 years. He thought it might have come off while out with the dogs in the cold weather. He purchased a metal detector and gave it his best shot for hours. After no success he turned to the internet and found me. We chatted back and forth, trying to give some pointers on using a metal detector.  After a few more days we agreed that I should come take a look. Caleb was at work when his job required him to go outside and inspect something. The weather was turning, snow was falling while the wind was picking up. When he was done with the task he shook the wetness off his hands and you guessed it. He felt his ring slide right off and dissappear. A coworker told him he knew a ring finder! The rest is history.
