Nate and his family were enjoying the beach on Anna Maria Island, Florida. It was a nice day to teach his daughter how to surf using a long board. After paddling around, Nate lost his wedding ring. Searching online he found SRARC.COM. Mike, Dane, and Joe arrived at the beach. Noticing the water smelled of red tide, the hunt started. After an hour hunt, the ring was located. Another successful hunt.

Drew joined his mother, father, and brother for a short vacation away from Massachusetts. They met at Turtle Beach on Siesta Key. They headed down to the beach and spent the afternoon playing in the sand and Gulf of Mexico. That morning, Drew had bargained for and purchased a silver bracelet. He wore it proudly to the beach and into the gulf. After rough housing in the water with his dad and brother, he returned to the beach and then noticed he no longer had the bracelet. He spent the next 2 days snorkeling in search of the bracelet but without any luck. His mother did some searching on the internet and finally discovered the SRARC Ring Finders group. Using his mother’s information, he contacted Howard Metts who did a call out for team members. Mike Shuler, Bill Gallant, and Mike Miller answered the call and met Drew the next morning. Drew gave them the perimeters for the hunt and off they went on the search. Mike and Mike headed out to the first sandbar to begin the hunt while Bill began a grid closer in. Mike Miller was a few feet in front of Mike Shuler and had just climbed up onto the sandbar when Shuler held the bracelet up in his hand. Shifty Shuler had done it again, 5 minutes into the hunt and he single handedly turned the hunt into a successful recovery. As we walked back to shore Drew stood up in disbelief and as Mike handed him the bracelet a big smile spread across his face. It is always a great pleasure to be part of a successful recovery and return.

Chuck and his wife were relaxing in chairs on the bulkhead of their Siesta Key Condo watching the boats pass by on the inland waterway. Chuck was leaning forward fidgeting with his wedding ring and it slipped over the end of his finger and out of his hand. The ring bounced once on the concrete bulkhead and dropped into the water. He got a small net and some scuba gear hoping to scrap it up out of the bottom but he had no luck. Later that evening his wife found SRARC Ring Finders and contacted Howard Metts. Howard transmitted a callout and Mike took the challenge, contacted Chuck and arranged to meet him in the 4th of July. It was a very difficult hunt due to a large amount of iron spread throughout area. After about an hour and a half of hunting Mike was able to separate the ring from the iron and out of the deep it came. Now this was a pretty good day for Chuck, he was able to celebrate Independence Day, His 41st wedding anniversary, and the return of his wedding ring originally placed on his finger 41 years ago. He was a very happy man.

Tara was enjoying the beach while on vacation from New Jersey. She was playing football when the ball hit her hand and the wedding ring flew off. Unable to find the ring in the water, she contacted SRARC.COM and explained her situation. Mike and Joe went to the beach in Sarasota to begin the hunt. After hunting high and low, the ring was found and returned to it’s owner. Their vacation ended with a smile and a story to remember.

Mark was cleaning the hull of his boat while on his lift and dropped a sanding block into the water. While reaching for the sanding block his ring slipped off into the dark water. He found our SRARC Ring Finders website and contacted Howard Metts. Jeanine and Howard Metts came out with their dive gear and Blue Nemo hookah. Jeanine tried for 45 minutes with no visibility and found the sanding block. Howard searched for another 45 minutes, got a signal and pulled the ring from the deep muck. Mark and his wife were very grateful to see the wedding ring again! Great job Metts team!

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Emma joined a group of friends at Holmes Beach for Memorial day festivities in a private compound right on the beach. She was with a close group of friends one of which was the grand daughter of the owners. They all walked out to the beach and setup chairs and were just enjoying each other and the hot sun. Some of them decided to go for a swim and Emma removed the ring that her mother had passed down to her and set it on the chair arm. Now this was no plain old ring, it had been given to her mother by her father way back when they were high school sweethearts. Emma raced off with her friends and swam for a while and when she returned to her chair the ring was gone. Maybe someone had bumped the chair or moved it and the ring had just disappeared. They all looked through the sand but could not find it. On the following Tuesday, Mike Miller came into the same area to search for a different persons lost wedding ring which had been lost on the outer sand bar. Turned out the water was to deep for Mike to hunt so he paddled back to shore and decided to do a little sand hunting while he dried out. He was soon approached by a woman telling him the story about Emma’s lost ring. She pointed out the area she thought it had been lost in and sure enough a few minutes later up came the ring. She was over joyed and took Mike to the house where Emma’s friend was still staying and the ring was put into her hands for safe keeping. I am pretty sure Emma and her parents will be very excited and happy when they hear the good news.

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Cindy and John came over to Siesta Key from Orlando for a few days to relax and enjoy the sun. They have a condo close to the water and after joining a few friends they all headed to the sandy beach to visit and play in the water. After a short time on the sand Cindy and three of her girlfriends decided to hit the water. As they swam and floated in the water, Cindy felt her wedding ring slide off of her finger. She stopped and stood right where it had fallen. Everyone gathered around her and looked for the ring but it was not to be found. Cindy was heartbroken because after 40 years of marriage, on their anniversary, they had just recently replaced her original wedding set with this new set. Later that evening, after talking with her daughter, her son -in-law told her about the ring finders. She found SRARC on the site and contacted Joe Szemer. Joe contacted Mike Miller and arrangements were made to do a hunt the next morning. Mike and Dane Trask meet Cindy and John on the beach and got the story of what had happened and the area where the ring had been lost. The hunt was on but there was nothing happening until about 2 hours later. Just as Dane needed to head home, Mike took a couple more swings and got the hit. Needless to say we had a very happy couple and their friends and family when they heard the news that the ring had been found.

Ring Lost On Longboat Key Recovered By SRARC

If you have lost your ring or any other precious item, “Don’t Wait – Call Now.” Chris and his wife Samantha were up from Cape Coral for a little away time and R & R on Long Boat Key. As they setup their spot on the beach, Samantha put her wedding rings safely away in her wallet and went in for a swim. While she was away Chris ordered some drinks and when they came, he opened Samantha’s wallet (he did not know she had placed her rings in the wallet for safe keeping) and paid for the drinks. Later, when they were packing up to leave, Samantha opened her wallet and found her engagement ring, but her wedding ring was missing. They looked around the area but could not find the ring. That evening Chris found SRARC on the internet and Mike Miller agreed to go search the next morning. After meeting at the site, Mike went to work and in about 4 swings found the ring. Chris was nothing but smiles as he was in big trouble. I imagine Samantha had a big smile as Chris came back in holding her ring.

Lost Wedding Set Recovered on Anna Maria Island

Keith, Karen and their two children Charlie and Katie came from North London to visit friends and hang out on Anna Maria Island for a couple weeks. On one of our hot summer days Karen needed to cool down so she waded out into the gulf to about waist high water. She spent a little while out there with her children playing a little and she tossed a ball once or twice. She dipped down and then went into shore again. Just before reaching the shore she sat down in the ripples, put her hands back behind her and leaned back on them. After setting there a while she got up and went up to their chairs on the beach where she reached for a towel. At that moment she realized that her wedding ring set was gone. They all looked for some time in the area of water where she had been setting. After finding nothing their friend Tracy googled about lost rings and found SRARC Ring Finders. Keith then contacted Howard Metts who contacted Mike Miller and a hunt was scheduled. After hunting the area where Karen thought she lost her rings Mike spread out into deeper water and after about an hour a good hit proved to be her wedding ring. Mike continued to hunt and then returned the next day but could not find the engagement ring. Mike then reached out for some additional help and returned a couple of days later with Paul Hill and Carl Boekemier. They hunted about three more hours but sadly never found the engagement ring. We are sad that we could not return Karen’s engagement but feel good about at least letting her return to London wearing her wedding ring. It was a pleasure to meet the whole family and we wish them a safe and pleasant trip home.

Ring Lost on Anna Maria Island is Recovered by SRARC

Patrick, Erika and children along with Erika’s parents were down from Ohio for a nice break before school begins. They were having a great time as this was their first stay on Anna Maria Island and they fell in love with the area. Midway through their week here, Patrick was in waist deep water tossing a ball back and forth to Erika who was up on the beach. For some reason Patrick reached over and felt for his wedding ring. It was gone!!!!!!! They search with dive masks for hours but had no luck. They decided to contact the various agency’s in the area to report that it was missing and in the process Patrick googled “lost Ring Anna Maria Island”. When he saw SRARC ring finders he clicked on the site and discovered we would come look for the ring. He contacted Howard Metts and the information was passed on to Mike Miller. Mike scheduled a hunt and met the family and Carl Boekemier at the location. Patrick was able to narrow the area we needed to search and after about 15 minutes Carl got the hit. The whole family was around us when Carl pushed his scoop toward Patrick and with a great big smile on his face Patrick reached in and grabbed his ring. Erika yelled let me see, and when she saw the ring her face turned into a great big grin. Their son had been hunting the beach for treasure and was finding mostly bottle caps with a few coins mixed in. Carl let him use his detector for a few minutes and to listen to what a gold ring sounded like. I think we might have inspired a budding young metal detectorist. Patrick told me after his experience with us he intends to encourage his son to pursue the hobby. That makes SRARC break out into a great big smile. Our best to the family on returning home with a fond memory of our area.
