Patrick and his family were down to Longboat Key from Toronto, Canada for a short winter break. The whole group was out on the sand and Patrick was tossing a football back and forth with his dad when he realized his Wedding ring was missing. They all looked through the sand and raked the area that they had been playing but could not find it. Someone walking along the beach suggested they look online for help and as soon as Patrick googled “Metal Detecting Service”, SRARC ring finders popped up. Patrick called Joe Szemer and Joe called Mike Miller. Mike set up an appointment to meet at the site. Patrick laid out the area he thought the ring would be in and after about 20 minutes Mike found the ring. There were lots of smiles and now the rest of the vacation can be enjoyed with no bad memories.

At their wedding on Anna Maria Island, Daniel was preparing to slide the wedding ring onto Emily’s ring finger when disaster struck. In preparation for receiving the ring Emily had removed her engagement ring and slipped it on to end of her little finger. As Daniel started to put the wedding onto her finger Emily’s reaction caused her to flip her little finger and off flew the engagement ring and disappeared into the sand as well. They quickly found the wedding ring and the ceremony continued. Later the whole wedding party searched but the engagement ring could not be found. Someone found SRARC ring finders online and contacted Joe Szemer. Joe called Mike Miller who responded immediately and headed for the wedding location on the beach. When Mike arrived the wedding party had left for the reception and there was another metal detectorist searching the area because someone who had been there when the ring was lost called him over when she saw him coming down the beach. They both searched for about 5 minutes and then the other detectorist found the ring. The Grooms brother (Matt) had called Mike earlier and requested that the he call him instead of the bride if the ring was found so he could surprise them at the reception. Mike was going to drive right by the reception on his way home so the other detectorist kindly gave Mike the ring so it could be delivered. Mike arrived about an hour later and called Matt to come to the parking area to get the ring. Matt had a master plan to present the ring to the Bride and Groom and invited Mike in to watch. Matt got the microphone and called his brother to center stage. He then talked a little about the catastrophe at the wedding and then open the box and gave the ring to his brother. Daniel called Emily up and got down on one knee and slipped the ring back onto her finger. The crowd was cheering and everyone was smiling from ear to ear. SRARC wants to wish the Bride and Groom the best for their future life together. We always like to be a smiling part to a happy ending.

Bo and Erica were down from Seattle visiting with family on Anna Maria Island. They all headed out to the beach to spend some time in the sun and surf. After setting up a space on the sand Bo decided he wanted to go for a swim. He took off his shoes and just to be safe he put his wedding ring into one of the shoes. A few hours later they were all packing up to leave and Bo grabbed his shoes and shook the sand out of them before putting them back on. He then suddenly remembered his ring had been in the shoe and was now gone. They all searched but no luck and then Erica found the ring finders and eventually contacted Howard Metts. They needed someone to come right away as they were leaving at 4:00 am the next morning. Howard contacted Mike Miller who responded immediately with his visiting daughter Kimberly and they met Bo at the beach location. Bo defined an area and Mike went to work. In about 5 minutes Mike got the hit and up came the lost wedding ring. Bo was overjoyed and Mike was all smiles to be able to return the ring. Kimberly did the photographs in which you can see how happy Bo was. All the best to Bo and Erica on their return to Seattle.

Down from Pennsylvania for a Bachelorette party, the bride to be Carly, Erika H her sister, and friends Emily, Erika B, and Tori had gathered on the beach at Siesta Key Beach. They spent the morning enjoying the sun, sand and gulf waters. Around noon Carly was walking along the edge of the surf looking for shells when she felt her engagement ring slide off her finger. She looked down immediately but the ring had already disappeared. The whole group searched and sifted through the sand but could not find it. Then Tori googled and found SRARC ring finders. She contacted Joe Szemer who past the information on to Mike Miller. Mike made arrangements to meet Tori a little later that day and she lead him to the location. After a few sweeps back and forth in the area Mike got a nice hit and up came the ring. Needless to say there was a lot a lot of cheering, hugs, and big smiles. SRARC wishes the best to Carly in her future marriage and is happy to have been a part of her story.

Amy was down from Boston on Longboat Key to join a few friends for a few days in the sun and water. The group was playing in the water throwing a football around for a while and then they spotted a school of fish a little way down the beach trapped in a sand pool above the gulf. They wanted to rescue them so they dug a trench thru the sand and helped them return to the gulf. It had been a great day until Amy realized a very special ring that had been passed down to her was missing. Her great grandfather had gifted her great grandmother a gold ring on one of their anniversary’s. Then Amy’s grandfather had passed the ring on to her to keep it close in the family. They all searched but had no luck and then Amy found SRARC ring finders using Google. She contacted Joe Szemer who called Mike Miller who made arrangements for both of them to do a search. They met Amy and got all the particulars then split up to hunt in different areas. They tried the dry and wet sand first but finally had to get into the rough surf. After about 10 minutes Mike got lucky in thigh deep water and up came the ring. Amy was so excited that she gave Mike a big hug and was in disbelief that we had actually fount it. SRARC is very happy we could recover the keepsake items for Amy.

Corie, Rob and family from Arkansas were down on Anna Maria Island for spring break. They headed out to the beach in front of their condo at about 3 pm to enjoy the sun and surf. Corie took off her three wedding rings to put on some suntan lotion then promptly forgot about them. At some point later she remembered them and went looking for them. She couldn’t remember exactly when she had removed them or for sure where she had set them down. The whole family looked and looked but could not find them. The most important ring had a beautiful solitary diamond which had been in Corie’s grandmothers wedding ring so it was an irreplaceable heirloom. Rob decided to look for metal detectors on the internet and soon found SRARC ring finders. He contacted Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller and a hunt was scheduled. Once Mike arrived it was just a matter of minutes until he had the rings back on Corie’s finger. Rob said he had timed our response and from the time he texted Joe until the time we returned the rings it was just under one hour. He said they were sure they would never see the rings again but SRARC saved the day. Mike is the lucky one as he got hugs around and lots of smiles and cheers.

Scott and Crystal from Bradenton were in a heated debate and in a fit of craziness Scott jumped up ran out the door and from the 4th floor balcony threw his wedding ring as far as he could. After thinking it over for an hour or so he decided it would be a good idea to go try and find it. He figured it had landed in a large grass area so went and purchased a metal detector to assist in the hunt. He hunted for a couple days and found many interesting pieces of junk but not the ring. They contacted SRARC through The Ring Finders web site and Joe Szemer passed the info on to Mike Miller. Mike made arrangements to meet them at the location and a short time later the hunt was on. While Scott was looking with his detector he had identified several locations he thought the ring might be in. He had ordered but had not received a pin pointer so he could check them out. He took Mike to each place and Mike said no to all but the last one. That one had a great tone and VDI. Mike put his pin pointer down and there it was. Mike got a big hug from Scott and lots of smiles from both Crystal and Scott. But the truth be told, had Scott received his pin pointer before Mike showed up he would have found it himself. Turns out Mike was just an assist. Congratulations Scott on your first ever recovery.

Juan was visiting Anna Maria Island with his Mom, Dad, and Brother for the day from Orlando. He is a social media influencer under the name Lejuan James and wanted to produce a skit about sharks and the warnings his mother gave him as a child. He got into a shark outfit and started running in the shallow water away from his brother whom caught him and tackled him. As soon as he hit the water he felt his wedding ring come off. They all searched for a while but found nothing. Juan called his wife, Camella, and she soon found SRARC ring finders on the internet. She called Howard who put out a call. Mike Miller responded and soon headed to the island to meet Juan. After searching for about an hour, an afternoon lighting storm appeared and the search was ended. Juan and family headed back to Orlando with an assurance from Mike he would return to hunt the next day. The next day after about 20 minutes Mike found the ring. He contacted Juan and let him know the ring had been recovered. Juan packed up his wife and child and met Mike at his house where the ring was returned among lots of smiles. Always a pleasure to put such big smiles on peoples faces. The short video is what was being filmed when he lost the ring.

Naomi and her husband and their two children were vacationing from Huston, Texas with other family members in Riverside. They all went to the beach on Anna Maria Island for some fun in the sun and gulf waters. They set up camp with a canopy and chairs and went about enjoying the day. At some point Naomi was in the water and could feel that her beautiful wedding ring was to loose and asked her husband to go put her rings into the beach bag under the canopy. He did as she asked except he put the rings onto a chair cup holder instead of the bag. When it came time to leave they picked up the chairs and the rings flew into the sand. Naomi’s brother spotted one of the rings but after continuing to search the wedding ring could not be found. After arriving home that evening Naomi’s grandfather found the SRARC ring finders on the internet. They contacted Howard Metts and he put out a request for hunters. Mike Miller responded and was soon on the hunt. After about 30 minutes the ring was recovered. Naomi was already in Orlando to catch a flight home so she asked her sister to meet Mike and the ring was put into her hands for the safe return to Naomi. SRARC is happy to have been able to bring another happy ending to a vacation in Florida.

Kara was in town from Texas to help out her parents through some medical issues. They went to Siesta Key Beach to enjoy the warm weather for a few hours. Kara removed her wedding ring to apply sunscreen and promptly forgot she had set it in her lap. She stood up, walked around and then to the water’s edge. After returning to her chair she remembered her ring and searched but could not find it. She found the SRARC ring finders on line and soon had Mike Miller headed to meet her at the beach. She lead Mike right to the spot where they had been sitting and after about three swings of the coil up came the ring. She will be smiling all the way back to Texas and SRARC will be smiling with her.
