On Easter Sunday, Gary and a friend decided to go down to the White Sands Cabana Club and enjoy the sand and surf on Siesta Key. After setting up chairs He decided to put some suntan lotion on so he removed his ring and put it into a pocket of the chair. After spending some time on the beach the wind began to pick up and the sand began to fly so they grabbed their chairs, folded them, and head back to their cabana. They put everything away and headed for home. About an hour later Gary noticed his ring was missing. They returned to the beach, checked in the chair pocket and then hunted along the trail and at the beach but could not find the ring. The next day Gary found the SRARC Ring Finders on line and contacted Howard Metts. Mike Schuler and Mike Miller volunteered to go and made arrangements to meet the following Friday. Gary led them out to the spot on the beach where they had been sitting and after about 10 minutes the ring was recovered. Gary was over the moon excited but we all abided by the separation rules and he soon had it back on his hand. Congratulations Gary we are so happy we could help you find your ring.Ring Lost On Siesta Key, Recovered By SRARC

Ring Lost On Siesta Key, Recovered By SRARC
Harma stepped out of her back door on Siesta Key to call her dog back inside. As dogs sometime do, it refused to come in so she went out to wave it in. She waved her hand toward the door and off flew a very precious ring into the night. Harma and her husband both searched the yard but had no luck at all. She remembered that her friend and neighbor Leslie had recently lost a ring and it was recovered by a local group called the SRARC ring finders. She contacted Howard Metts and Mike Miller responded to the callout. Mike searched for about an hour and was loosing hope but decided to change coils and research the area. In short order he got a promising hit and sure enough out came the ring. This was not just any ring, it was her grandfathers wedding band which had been passed down to her and she was just heart broken that she had lost it. If you look closely you will see the wedding date of in Holland of 14/8/15. SRARC is ever so happy to have returned this precious heirloom to Harma.

Joe was out on the back porch in Sarasota doing a barbeque and as he finished up he walked over to the doggy pool bent over and rinsed his hands. When he stood up he heard a tink sound and then thought he felt his class ring fall off. He looked at his hand and sure enough it was gone. He spent the next thee weeks looking every night for his ring. He finally heard about the SRARC ring finders and contacted Joe Szemer. Joe contacted Mike Miller and arrangements were made for a hunt that afternoon. After 4 or five trips over the small area that it should have been in with no hits, Mike and Joe thought that maybe it fell between the boards on the deck. Mike decided to go over the area one more time and a promising hit popped up. Joe bent over and parted the grass and with a big grin came up with his ring. It was great to see his smile and excitement having it back on his hand.

The McCoy family met friends on Siesta Key Beach to enjoy the sunset and Forth of July fireworks. As they visited, the kids were all hard at play. As they packed up to leave for home they noticed that Porter’s glasses were missing. When they asked him where they were he had no idea. They searched and dug in the sand several different times but could never find them. The decided Porter must have buried them in a hole. Jenna contacted Joe Szemer at SRARC and a hunt was scheduled for July 7, 2019. Corey met Paul Hill and Mike Miller at the site and defined the area to be hunted. Paul and Mike went right to work and after about 10 minutes Mike found them just below the surface. We are ever so happy to have Porter’s glasses back in his possession for the upcoming trip to Yosemite.Ring Lost in Sarasota is Recovered by SRARC

Last year we had a very successful recovery where we returned 5 rings and two watches out of one yard. A year later, Renee called us back after being absent from her home for a few months and discovering on her return that several jewelry items were missing. She was hoping that they had been thrown into the yard again. Mike Miller and Carl Boekemier hunted for several hours and determined that none of the missing items were in the yard. We did recover one Man’s wedding ring which had ben lost years earlier. Now we can say we recovered 6 rings and 2 watches from the same yard. We also want to wish Renee good luck on finding her missing items one of which was the Rolex watch we recovered on our first hunt.Lido Key Beach Lost Ring Recovered By SRARC
