Minnesota lost wedding ring metal detecting scuba lake

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Katy & Matt had some friends over to their cabin and they decided to go for a pontoon ride around the lake. Katy was out on the lake warming up the pontoon when the engine stopped working. It was a windy day and the pontoon was heading quickly to shore and towards the rocks. Katy had to stop the pontoon, so she jumped off and into the water to hold it steady (in about 4 feet of water). While she jumped off the pontoon, she caught her hand in the railing and not only did her ring pop off; she also hurt her hand. Matt searched on the internet for help in finding Katy’s lost ring, he came upon the ring finders website. He contacted and me and told me the scenario. He & I met up at the lake and took the pontoon to the spot, he put me right on the spot as it only took me about 15 minutes scuba diving to find it.

Congrats to Katy and I hope your hand heals quickly :O)

Lost Engagement / Wedding Rings Found Metal detecting Lake Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Noelle & Kevin called me about Noelle’s lost wedding band and engagement ring. They were visiting relatives on a lake in Minnesota. It was a very hot day and they decided to take a swim off the dock. Noelle took her rings off and left them with her shoes and towels on the dock. While they were swimming, their dogs were playing on the dock and knocked the rings into the water. They searched to no avail and decided to google “lost rings” to see if anyone could help. Google came up with the theringfinders.com and they gave me a call. It had to be a quick turn around as they were only visiting for a couple days and were leaving soon. I switched a few plans around and headed up to the lake. It was a really quick search, I think I spent only 1 minute underwater before finding both rings.

Congrats Noelle, truly glad I could help. Both Kevin & Noelle were very gracious and very helpful. Hopes and prayers for a long & happy life together.

Take Care,

Darrin ~

Lost Wedding Ring Found Minnesota Lake / River

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Amy located me through theringfinders.com website. She lost her wedding ring and really wasn’t sure where. Her family had spent the day at the beach/park in Lake City Minnesota. While dining out that evening at a nearby restaurant, she noticed her ring was missing. They quickly backed tracked to the beach and parking area to search. As they talked to other people and park officials, they were informed of the ring finders website and Amy promptly called me. After talking about the scenario, we decided the best hope was on the beach or in the water. I met Amy’s husband Matt at the park and we did a quick search of the beach and water edge area. No luck. I suited up for a scuba search as Amy was swimming in water approx. 12 feet deep. It was a pretty large area to search and the water was murky with no visibility. When I get a hit on my metal detector I have to use feel to find the object. There was a lot of trash, I had to bring two full bags of trash back to shore and Matt would run it up to the trash can.  After 3 hours underwater I was just about out of air and out of confidence. I don’t know what it was, maybe divine intervention? Though, I was just getting out of the water and something told me to turn back I try one more time. Within the next few seconds I got another hit and there was that beautiful ring. It truly was an incredible search and find – One I will never forget.

Congrats to Amy & Matt!!! I’m so glad I could help recover your lost valuable.

Lost Necklace recovered Minnesota Lake – FOUND

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

I received a call from Joan about a lost Gold Necklace off a fishing dock in Minnesota. The following was written by Joan:

I got this Gold chain for my baby Godiva’s 2nd birthday last year. Unfortunately for me, I went to fish at a lake in Chanhassen and it dropped into the water. I was so stressed and feeling terrible. I contacted the local scuba shop and talked to Scott who could not find it. He recommended Darrin from the ring finders and said that Darrin was a good man and indeed you are. You brought a smile to me and my Princess for finding this Gold Chain. We will forever remember you for your good job and honesty. I will recommend you to everyone. Thanks so much Darrin.

So glad I could help Joan, it was a pleasure and it makes me happy to bring a smile to you and your daughter’s face!

Lost Engagement Ring Recovered Metal Detecting Minnesota

Lisa and her family were out enjoying a nice Minnesota day on their pontoon, they decided to stop at a sand bar in the middle of the lake to get in the water and play a little catch with the kids. While Lisa was tossing the football with her daughter, her engagement ring popped off into the water. They enlisted the help of some other people in the area and searched to no avail. One of the other people helping out told Lisa about theringfinders.com and when she got back to the cabin, she brought up the website and shot me an email. We set up a day and time to search and met up at the cabin. Lisa’s neighbors were gracious enough to take us out on their pontoon to the sand bar. We jumped into approx. waist deep water and started searching. After an hour and quite a few pennies, pop tops and pull tabs; Lisa’s daughter told us that she remembered being more into the shallow area, only around two feet deep or so. We started searching in the shallow water and almost immediately that beautiful engagement ring was in my scoop.  Really glad I could help you out Lisa, say thanks again to your neighbors and thanks so much to the hero of the day – Your daughter 🙂

Lost Wedding Ring Recovered Minnesota Scuba Metal Detecting

Burt lost his ring in the lake behind his home. He was swimming in approx. 20 feet of water when he felt it slip off. He tread water for quite a while as to not lose where he lost the ring and his wife went to find a float and anchor to mark the spot. This was great thinking as it helps me get close while diving for the ring. Burt and his wife were heading out for a belated honeymoon to Europe in a couple days and Burt really wanted his ring for that trip. This recovery was tough, Minnesota has a “thermocline” – This means the water temperature really plummets at a certain depth. The ring was deep and I knew it would be very cold which limits search time. Another issue was the weeds and muck. As soon as you start searching the muck stirs up and it completely blinds you. After removing an old 10 foot long dock pole and some old beer cans, I got a solid hit. The ring was approx. 1 and half feet down into the muck. I think I got really lucky on this one, but either way it is back where it belongs, on Burt’s finger!

Congrats and please thank Ian again for helping me carry my gear.

Lost Ring Recovered Minneapolis Lake Scuba Detecting

Jordan and his wife were enjoying their honeymoon in Minnesota, hitting the local lakes. While swimming at a popular Minneapolis lake, Jordan felt his brand new platinum wedding ring slip off his finger. The area was approx. 5 to 6 feet deep. He borrowed some swim goggles and searched to no avail. Rings usually end up under the silt or sand right away, making it very hard to recover visually. After an internet search on how to find missing rings, “theringfinders.com” came up and in no time we had set up a search for the following morning. I met Jordan at the beach and discussed a plan of attack. It worked well as it only took 10 minutes and the lost wedding band was back where it belongs. Congrats Jordan, glad I could help out. Take Care.

1964 Lost Class Ring Recovered after 55 years in Minnesota Lake.

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

While scuba diving and searching for lost valuables in a Minnesota lake, I found a class ring with the following information. 1964 – Harding High School and  “JF”. I called Harding high school and asked the librarian to pull the 1964 year book and look for the initials JF. There were actually two people with these initials. After contacting the 1st person, he informed me that he still had his class ring, so I knew for sure it was the next guy. I called James and left a message, to no avail. I figured he would probably think this is some kind of scam and not call me back. I researched his address and drove over to his house, luckily he was home. He couldn’t believe that I found his ring after 55 years in the lake. I told him, wherever you lost it, that’s where it going to be until someone recovers it. For anyone reading this post, please spread the word of  theringfinders.com to everyone you know. No matter how long your valuable has been missing, there’s always a chance of recovery.

Congrats James, so glad I could help in getting your class ring to the rightful owner –
