Lost sentimental pendants and chain in the sand at Wasaga Beach #2. Wasaga Beach, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Tamara was out with the family for a day at Wasaga Beach 2. She put her sentimental chain with two pendants in the cupholder of her chair.

At the end of the day they all packed up and headed home.

Tamara totally forgot her about her jewellery and went into panic mode. They tried looking for it with no luck.

Tamara used Google and The Ring Finders directory came up and proceeded to call me.

We met early this morning. Walked to the beach and set up. Within 20 seconds of my first swing and scoop I spotted the chain!

I asked Tamara to come over as she didn’t clue in when I gave the double thumbs up. She thought I was checking to see if the video was recording…

I asked her to go ahead and take the chain out and the two pendants were still attached.

Tamara was overcome with happy tears because the two pendants mean a great deal to her!!

Thank you Tamara for your donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation! Tamara received a receipt!

Engagement ring lost off dock into Balsam Lake, Kawartha Lakes Region, Kirkfield,Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Aaron and his fiancé Mallory were with a group of Friends celebrating at a cottage on Balsam Lake in the Kawartha Lakes Region near Kirkfield, Ontario.

Mallory’s beautiful gold and diamond elegant engagement ring slipped off her ring finger just 5’ to 10’ in front of the dock area.

They searched for 2-3 hours with no luck.

Google searched and found me. Called and I was immediately on my way!

I arrived to see the skies quickly turning dark and the winds picking up so I knew I best get it on.

Rushed to see the dock area, brought the gear down, jumped in, weeded through a couple of beer can pull tabs and the next target in the area they stated was Mallory’s stunning engagement ring!!

Happy screams of joy by all!! …even me!

What an awesome group of Friends Aaron & Mallory have!

Thanks for feeding me some dinner as I passed on my dinner to get to the location sooner than later!

Check out the video for this ring recovery;

Aaron sent in an incredibly generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation and he received a tax receipt!

It makes me feel valued for my passion of metal / scuba dive detecting, helping other and paying-it-forward to charity when incredible donations come in for my recoveries!!

Backpack goes to the bottom of river after kayak flips Sauble Falls, South Bruce Peninsula, Wiarton, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a call from Alan as his parents were kayaking on the Sauble River just south of Sauble Falls in the South Bruce Peninsula area of Wiarton, Ontario.

Alan had called Bruce at Groundhog Divers in Kitchener to see if a diver was available to assist. Bruce kindly referred them to call me and we made arrangements to meet early Saturday morning.

They were new to kayaking and accidentally flipped over the kayak. Unfortunately a backpack which had many valuable items such as wallet, identification/cards, 2 cells phones, sunglasses and keys had fallen to the bottom in roughly 9’ to 12’ of water.

I brought both scuba gear and my DIVE BLU3 NEMO as the depth wasn’t confirm. I proceeded out to the location with the NEMO as with a 10’ hose hookah system the ease of use as well as only 12’ makes for a simple solution in recovering lost items quickly.

I could not locate the backpack at the location of kayak flip and proceeded down stream a bit as there was a slight current. Approximately 30’ away I found Zhihong’s sunglasses and in another 25’ more found the navy blue pack pack. The small front pouch was open. Underneath was some coins and a small set of keys.

I went to the surface withholding the backpack up with a round of cheers and applause. Proceeded back to the dock. They went threw the backpack and advised the think another set of car keys was still missing.

I went and re-gridded the area for another hour and a bit with no luck!

The Family was so happy and grateful to get their belongings back. Hopefully my adviser to lit the cell phones and car key FOB in rice for 1-2 days helped.

here’s the video of the backpack recovery;

Luckily, they found the other set of keys in the vehicle after opening it up with the found set in backpack!

Saved them more than a few hundred dollars and time in replacing all these items!

Also would like to say a special thank you to a cottage owner Dennis for allowing us on his property as well Glenn B for tagging along as a spotter!

I’m grateful to the couple for the generous donation made to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation as that is what I ask as a REWARD. To pay-it-forward to the charity I snowmobile for going into my 13th year of 23 years! They received a tax receipt!!

Lost sentimental Garmin watch into the waters of North Lake Dalrymple, Kawartha Lakes, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Jason was enjoying a vacation with his Wife & Children renting a beautiful cottage on North Lake Dalrymple in the Kawartha Lakes Region on Ontario’s cottage country.

Jason was out in the water playing with his kids and his Daughter grabbed his wrist. His Garmin watch as well as her bracelet came off and went to the bottom of the lake.

Jason managed to dive down to locate his Daughters bracelet but unfortunately could not locate his Garmin watch. This Garmin is very special to him as it’s been on many athletic adventures through thick and thin with injuries and all. Jason is an amazing athlete and free diver as well. But he’s also an “EARTH ANGLE” raising charity donations for years with his high school buddies and Friends. I’m talking thousands of charity donation dollars!!! Over 3 million I believe! INCREDIBLE!

“CYCLE WARRIORS” is their team name!!! They are all EARTH ANGELS!! Doing their part in helping others in need jus as I do with using my passion for metal detecting snd raising much needed donations for the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation instead of taking/receiving a reward for finding the clients lost item!!

WE ARE MAKING THE DIFFERENCE!!

Here’s a link to sponsor Jason’s in his upcoming even in a view days!!!

Every donation matters!! Please make a donation if you can!

GO TRAM CYCLE WARRIORS / JASON GOOOOO!!!! PRINCESS MARGARET RIDE TO END CANCER!

Jason put us in the perfect location! My DIVE BLU3 NEMO hookah system and 10’ hose and my Minelab Excalibur2 underwater metal detector alongside a custom underwater circular gridding tool ROCKED IT UT!!! Once untangling the line it took 40 SECONDS to recover and surprise Jason with his Garmin watch!!

Garmin had given Jason some explicit instructions on how to care for and charge his watch. He took his time and was extremely pleased that after 6-8 weeks of it being in the water his GARMIN TURNED ON AND UPDATED!!!

Jason’s stated his buddies thought he was crazy to have the watch recovered and it wouldn’t work!! Guess he has the last chuckle!

check out the video of this Garmin watch recovery and return;

Tungsten wedding band lost into the waters of Georgian Bay in Perkinsfield, Tiny Township, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Jackson and his wife were visiting the Family’s local Tiny Township beaches area on Georgian Bay!

Having a relaxing day floating just off the shoreline Jackson’s hands were cold and his tungsten gold plated wedding band slipped off into the waters below.

They spent and hour looking for his wedding band with no luck.

Jackson googled ‘The Ring Finders’ directory, found my information and called me.

I headed up shortly after his call and detected in some very rough conditions until I couldn’t see anymore with the darkness. No luck, I agreed to return the next day re-gridding the area in case I missed any spots from being thrown around in the terrible conditions.

The next morning we headed back to the beach area and I re-gridded with no lunch. After a lunch break courtesy of Jackson’s Mother, Jackson and his Wife returned to the Family cottage. I was determined to continue the search in the other direction from my starting point. On my 3rd pass I had a solid 16/17 on my Minelab Equinox800 and at 4” in depth I knew this had to be his wedding band!!

I’m so happy to help recovery and return Jackson’s wedding band which gets him out of the dog house!!

Honored to meet his lovely Family and through conversations… we are actually Hydro Family!! I will be seeing them very soon!

Engagement ring pulled off by child into the Gull River, Kawartha Lakes Region, Norland, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Seva’s Wife was playing in the water with a child at a Private resort called Lakefront Hideaway Resort on Gull River, Kawartha Lakes cottage country region of Norland, Ontario.!

The young child accidentally pulled the wedding ring off of her finger and it fell into the water.

Seva rented a metal detector but had no luck finder the ring. A former Ring Finder Anne referred Seva to call me.

On the initial call out, I was given information that the ring was yellow gold and it was in front of the one gazebo. I grid searched the large area for 1 3/4 hours.

I unfortunately had to leave for a 1 o’clock appointment at North Lake Dalrymple for a lost Garman watch in which I successfully found very quickly. I immediately drove back 25 minutes to this location because I felt the ring was still there but further over!

After confirmation the ring was white gold not yellow gold I continued my grid search pattern to the right of where I left off. Within 5 minutes of bring back in the water I had a double tone. One item was negative meaning trash and the other item was a solid 7/8 on my Minelab Equinox800. On my second scoop there was Seva’s Wife’s beautiful wedding ring!

I FaceTimed Seva with the good news and proceeded to meet them after my holidays!

This ring went on a second lost journey prior to its return! The ring fell off my own lanyard with two other rings recently recovered. Panic, anxiety, and tears set it as I found 2 of the 3 rings. Now I know what my clients go through.

A wonderful neighbour Marina helped me retrace my steps. She found it and sure got me good the way I like to surprise my clients!! Tears and hugs of shock and joy!!! A few lessons learnt! Secure the ring(s) on a carabiner!!

I advised Seva and his Wife of the rings second journey! We finally met up for its return!

Thank you Seva for your generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation for my extra effort!!

Husband loses his wedding band into the rough waters of Wasaga beach #1, Wasaga Beach, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Brian and his Family from Montreal, Quebec were visiting Ontario’s Wasaga Beach #1 for a vacation.

He was playing football knee deep on a very windy day which produced heavy waves and an undertow.

I was called the next day and attended the location but knew I had my work cut out for me as with the previous days conditions I knew the sand 200 feet would be dumped closer to shore which we called the beach was “sanded in”!

I was grid searching with no luck and made another attempt the following weekend. Same result – NO LUCK.

I reached out to the regular metal detecting community in this area and offered my call out fee for the hopeful return of Brian’s wedding band.

This Family touched me because Brian‘s Wife is a survivor of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer! In the last 4 years, all my successful Ring Finders call outs I do not take the reward for finding the lost item! Instead, I asked the client to pay it forward with an immediate online donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation in which the client then receives a tax receipt. This is how I raise money for this wonderful charity that assists patients with the financial struggles of fighting this terrible disease!!

A short time later was contacted by Joe P from the Wasaga Group that he had just found the wedding band. I confirmed with Joe the inside markings of Brian’s wedding day “08-30-08”

check out the video;

AMAZING!!!! I gladly gave up my call out fee to receive Brian’s wedding band back!! I thank you so very much Joe for graciously returning the very sentimental wedding band!

I always recommend ring owners to have some kind of markings inside as an identifier!!

The wedding band was shipped back to Brian and he’s one happy guy!

The weather in the next week had high winds and waves as well the day I arrived for my 1st of 2 attempts!

MASSIVE 18k WHITE GOLD 24 DIAMOND WEDDING BAND LOST IN THE WATERS in THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, COLLINGWOOD, ON 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Large Family day gathering at the beach of Northwinds Beach, Georgian Bay in The Blue Mountains area of Collingwood, Ontario.

Dino was playing volleyball with his Family and extended Family in knee deep waters of Georgian Bay! Twenty minutes later Dino noticed his wedding band was missing. Eight to ten people were searching for 1 1/2 hours with no luck.

Dino’s brother-in-law remembered the group “The Ring Finders” and proceeded to get in touch with me. He sent a photo of the location along with a blurry photo of Dino’s wedding band!

I was in Wasaga Beach at the time and dropped everything to attend the emergency call-out 25 minutes away. When I arrived I went in with my cloths on as all my gear/wetsuits were wet!

After 4 grid passes in the area identified I located Dino’s stunning wedding band in 4 minutes and already 6” in down!!! We were lucky as the weight of the ring would continue to go deeper over time!

Then the surprise phone call to the brother-in-law and subsequently sent him a photo of Dino’s ring! HAPPY HAPPY!!!

The next day at work on my lunch hour I met Dino in Brampton to return his wedding band!! It’s the most incredible, massive, elegant and stunning men’s wedding band I have ever recovered and returned!! ZOOWEEMAMA!!!!

Check out the video on this wedding band return;

I was shocked with gratefulness at Dino’s extremely generous charity donation to the Kelly Shires breast Cancer Foundation. Dino received a tax receipt for his generous donation! This is part of my pay-it-forward program as I do charge a fee to go out but I do not take a reward after I find the list item!

I love using my passion for metal/scuba dive detecting to help others in need!!

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH DINO!!! Your donation amount really shows me your appreciation for my help!! Blessings
