This earring hunt began when I got a voicemail from Bryann who was on a Birthday Vacation on Oahu and inquired about my services she had heard from a local friend. When we connected she told me she had lost her gold earring on Sandy’s Beach in the dry sand. She sent me a pic of the beach with a red line drawn on it of the route she had been on when she noticed the earring was gone. Sandy’s is heavily detected and I let her know. She let me know it was from her late husband so I knew I had to give it my best shot. I was at work so I told Bryann I would grab my gear when I finished and go straight there to hunt. When I arrived, the beach was quite crowded and part of the search area was blocked with conservation tape as turtles had nested in the area. I started the hunt along the rock wall near the parking lot and went as close to the conservation area that I could. After the first pass I started back the next leg and immediately got a nice low tone center line on the Manticore video display. I took one scoop and there was Bryann’s Sentimental Gold Earring in the scoop. I texted her a pic and told her, “You were blessed”. After a quick pick up at my home they were off to the airport. Bryann sent me a pic from home wearing the earring with a Shaka and a Smile. Aloha to Bryann!
