Earlier this week I was riding around my mom’s property on a riding lawn mower for around an hour while she cut the grass. I had put my engagement ring in the pants I was wearing the night before and had forgotten. Prior to walking outside, I put these pants back on and slide my phone in that pocket. While I was on my mower the belt to the deck snapped off. I got off the mower to pick it up and continued riding around the property with the mower deck up while my mom continued cutting the grass. At some point I pulled my phone out of my pocket as well! After getting off the mower around an hour later I noticed the ring was gone. I was devastated and we immediately went out to get a metal detector and searched the area for HOURS.
I reached out to Brian the next day to see if he could help. I was very emotional as this ring contains four generations of passed down diamonds and was custom made by my fiance. Brian immediately comforted me on the phone and told me he would be happy to help! Brian asked me for all of the details of where I could have lost it, what the ring looked like, etc — he was very through!
We set up for him to drive up from Maryland to Pennsylvania today. In the meantime myself and others continued to search the area to no avail over the last three days. I was so worried the ring had gotten hit by one of the mowers and had become a projectile we would never find. I expressed this to Brian and he encouraged me to maintain hope!
Brian searched the property meticulously for three hours. We searched the area I had pulled out my phone and then moved to where the belt had flown off as I had gotten off the mower at that time. That is where Brian found my ring just below the grass! It had fallen out of my pocket at some point and may have been when I reached down to grab the belt! We were both some incredibly happy!
