Cape Cod Ring Finders Return Wedding Set On Bass River Beach

While playing with her children in chest deep water Ruth was horrified as she watched the ring she never took off her finger slip into the water and below. After exiting the water she got hold of my phone number and called. Within a half an hour I was geared up and ready to enter the water and find her ring.
My initial search area which Ruth told me to start searching was soon changed by those on the beach. “Further to the west…further…once more: further. When I got the OK I started to grid the area as best as I could with the building wave action and setting sun urging me to go faster and find the ring. I exhausted the area and went back to my original delineated area. I was within two passes fo calling the search off until the next morning’s low tide when I heard my second signal. The first was part of a soda can, this one I knew was going to be a ring, but was it the correct ring? As soon as Ruth saw it in my scoop, we both knew it was her ring.
Once on shore I met a Lou, a past member of TheRingFinders. He had been there with his mother watching my progress. More than that, Lou had given Ruth assurance that I knew what I was doing and that I would find her ring. Assurance that Ruth really took to heart. Lou also was the professional photographer of the evening.
