Lost & Found: Lindsey’s Texas A&M Class Ring Recovered from Lake Conroe
Lindsey’s Memorial Day weekend at Lake Conroe took an unexpected turn when she lost her cherished Texas A&M class ring right off the dock behind her family’s lake house. She shared that she was trying to get onto a paddleboard when she lost her balance and slipped off into the water. As she swam back toward the dock—just a few feet away—she felt her class ring slide off her finger and sink to the sandy lake bottom, about five feet below.
Her family made several determined attempts to recover the ring, diving down and feeling along the murky lake floor, but it soon became clear the task was far more difficult than they had imagined. Lindsey said that after countless efforts and no success, she had come to terms with the loss and even ordered a replacement ring from Texas A&M.
However, fate had other plans.
During the Fourth of July weekend, Lindsey came across a post online about a Texas A&M ring I had recently recovered from Lake Conroe through Houston Metal Detecting Services. That story sparked new hope, and Lindsey immediately sent me a text message, asking if there was any chance her ring could be found.
She provided excellent details about the location and exactly how the ring was lost—information that’s often crucial in these kinds of searches. And as any Aggie would understand, it wasn’t just about the monetary value—she wanted her ring back, not a replacement.
We set plans in motion to meet on Sunday and search for her ring. As soon as I got on site, it was clear we had a great shot at success. And sure enough, after carefully searching the area she described, I was able to recover Lindsey’s original Texas A&M class ring from the sandy bottom of Lake Conroe.
As you can see from the photos, it turned out to be a great day for everyone—especially Lindsey, who now has her beloved ring back where it belongs!

Lost Wedding Ring in Houston, Texas found by Houston Metal Detecting Services (The Ring Finders-Houston, Texas)
I was contacted by Zach a resident of Houston, Texas who was looking for someone to help him find his lost wedding ring.
Zach reported he been installing new grass in the backyard of his residence when he believed he lost his ring. Zach said he has gotten his hands muddy several times during the installation, and believed the ring may have come off of his finger. Zach reported he had been searching for his ring over the last couple of weeks but was not able to find it. Zach reported he had purchased a cheap metal detector and tried searching for the ring, but he had no luck.
Zach said his wife had done a little internet search and came across Houston Metal Detecting Services (The Ring Finders-Houston, Texas) and he placed the call.
Zach laid out all of the details and sent a few photos of the area we would be searching. We met the following day at his residence to search for his lost ring.
