I received a text from Vanessa telling me she had lost her ring in the sand at the beach. We sent texts back and forth with me asking questions about the loss. after a few responses I let her know that I would leave immediately to come and help her.
I got to the beach about an hour later, and found her because of the color of the beach chairs she told me to look for (green). Vanessa was with her husband of only a few months James, and I could see the area they had been searching. I then asked her to show where she had been standing, and exactly what she had done to lose her ring. There had been a bit of volley ball between the two of them, and when hitting the ball the ring flew off, and was gone. I began my search, and after taking a few steps I received a good signal, dug, and had a gold cross in my scoop. Well I knew I was looking for a ring, and knew I wasn’t done, but held up the cross, and said it isn’t a ring. Vanessa looked at me with a questioning look, and told me that was a cross her father had given her, but had no idea it had fallen in the sand as well. I continued my search for the ring, covering all of the area in question without a recovery. I let them know I was going to do a cross grid to insure a complete search. As I was searching I got a signal where I didn’t get one before, put the scoop in, and there was her beautiful diamond wedding ring. I figured the ring must have been on edge, and turned in such a way as to not be found when searching in the first direction. Having an experienced person with a detector is very important, and The Ring Finders has hundreds to chose from all over the world. I was happy to have been a help to Vanessa and James, newlyweds.
