While I was on a search in Maple Ridge, looking for a young man’s wedding band a lady and her kids were walking by and asked me if that was a metal detector, I said yes and that I was here helping a young man who lost his ring in the snow. She asked if I do house calls, I said absolutely, she told me her husband lost his gold wedding band the other day in the backyard making a snowman for the kids. We exchange numbers and I told her I would call her as soon as I was done finding the ring I was looking for. The ring was found and I made contact and was off to meet her husband Matt and search for his ring.

When I got there, Matt was waiting outside to show me where he was making the snowman and where he believed his ring would be, it didn’t take very long and I found his beautiful gold ring while he was on the phone with his mechanic. This was my opportunity to fake him out and surprise him with his gold wedding band. I absolutely have so much fun and love my job more than anything I’ve ever done, just to see his smile and how much it meant to him to get it back. I wish I could’ve been doing this for 50 years.

Metal Detecting for a Lost Gold Wedding Band at Alouette Lake in Maple Ridge.

This past week has been very busy and I love it! I work 12 + hours a day and when I get off work I’ll go on a night search as we all know timing is everything when a ring is lost in a public place. The call I received yesterday was a distress call form a young man who lost his gold wedding band in Alouette Lake in Maple Ridge. After talking to Ray on the phone we decided to meet at 7:00 am at the park to search for his lost ring. When we met I could tell how much his ring meant to him as we talked about how it was lost. Its great to see men these days that are so much in love with their wife’s and to see how much that ring means to them and how bad they want it found!  Ray helped me on my search today and he also spent a good amount of time snorkelling to try and find it…If you have never lost a ring you probably will never know the sick feeling you get thinking you’ll never see it again…  Ray was very grateful when after close to 4 hours of searching the ring showed itself…Thank you Ray for the kind reward and I hope you never lose your ring again! I love my job! Lost something? Call me ASAP!You can watch the video of the search below…
