Lost - Men's 14k gold wedding band, New Smyrna Beach - FOUND !!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

Tuesday had started like so many Tuesdays do. My wife and I had settled into one of our favorite spots in DeLeon Springs when my phone buzzed with a text from Christian.

He had lost his wedding band on New Smyrna Beach.

I gave him a quick call. He sounded worried—almost desperate. He explained that he had lost his 14K gold wedding band the day before. He had placed it in the cup holder of his beach chair, but when they packed up to leave, the ring was gone. They searched for it but came up empty-handed.

I told Christian where I was and that I expected to be back in New Smyrna Beach by noon. Before heading out, I whispered a quick prayer, asking the Lord to protect the ring and keep it there until I could find it.

Once I returned to New Smyrna, I called Christian and told him I was on my way to the beach. When I arrived, he directed me to the area where they had been sitting.

I fired up my Minelab Manticore and began gridding the dry sand near the roadway. The heat was intense, with the bright sun beating down and radiating off the sand.

On my second pass, I got a promising signal.

I looked down, and there it was—a small, round circle barely protruding from the sand.

Could it really be?  I reached down and picked it up.  It was the ring!

I checked the inscription, and there was no doubt. I had found Christian’s wedding band.

I was incredibly grateful. The ring had been sitting there since the day before, and somehow no one had found it. I truly believe the Lord led me straight to it—and answered my prayer by getting it back to Christian and his wife Sarah, quickly.

Another ring saved. Another story of something thought to be lost forever, found.
