Heirloom Ring Lost in Nashville TN Found With a Metal Detector

  • from Nashville (Tennessee, United States)

Over 200 years this silver Claddagh ring has been in Andrew’s family, passed down from generation to generation. So when Andrew lost the ring while giving his Saint Bernard a bath in the back yard of his Nashville, TN home, he was terrified to say the least. He searched the internet on how to find a lost ring, then realized that the best option was to find an experienced metal detectorist. He found my profile on TheRingFinders website and sent me a text message. I made the short 25 minute drive to his home for what would be my third ring search of the day. In no time at all I had located the ring deep in the lush green grass with my metal detector. The history of this family heirloom ring is awesome and I am honored to be trusted to find it so it can keep the story going.

Davis contacted me on 06-23-2026 after he lost his gold wedding band in his back yard. He had placed his ring in the side pocket of an ice chest, and later when he was dumping the ice chest in his back yard, the ring fell from the ice chest pocket. He used a rake to comb through the grass but could not find the ring. We agreed that I would search for the ring on 06-27-2026. Davis asked if he could watch me search and I said he was more than welcome to watch. I warned him that there will be other metal objects in his yard that I will be checking and not to get too excited when he sees me bend down to check a target. After showing me the area where he dumped the ice chest, I powered up the Deus 2 metal detector, started a timer and swung the coil next to the concrete patio and got a strong signal. I was happily surprised that this very first target was in fact Davis’ ring. TEN SECONDS is my new record for a ring recovery, beating my old record of 38 seconds. Sometimes luck is better than skill. Either way Davis was elated. He assured me that he checked the area where I found his ring, and was baffled that he didn’t see it. I spent a few minutes allowing Davis’s young daughter swing the detector over the ring, then use the pinpointer to locate her dad’s ring a second time. It put a smile on her face, so that was an added bonus.

On April 28th. 2026 I received a call from a very nice lady named Paula. She had lost her beloved 14K gold brooch on Sunday, April 26th, most likely at her church. The brooch was the most sentimental item that she had received from her late husband, so to her it was priceless. Paula had already alerted the church staff to be on the lookout for her brooch inside the church buildings.

I met with Paula at her church about one hour after receiving her call. She showed me the route that she walked from the entry doors of the church to where she had been parked. I found a gold earring along the path, concealed in the grass, but not Paula’s brooch. Paula turned the earring into the lost and found in the church reception area. Paula asked me help her look inside the church, just to get a fresh pair of eyes to visually search the floors. No luck inside the church.

Once outside, Paula asked if I’d follow her to her friend’s house a few minutes drive away so I could use my metal detector along the path to her friend’s front door. I agreed to the search at her friend’s house, but asked if I could search her vehicle first. She assured me that she had searched her vehicle thoroughly and did not find the brooch. Using my digital borescope I searched under and around the driver’s seat and located Paula’s brooch tucked away, completely hidden from the naked eye. I showed her the screen with the live image of her brooch and she cried tears of joy. When I handed Paula her beautiful brooch she gave me the biggest hug and said, “You made my day! No, I take that back. You made my whole year!” It’s a wonderful feeling to re-unite nice people like Paula with their treasures that they thought were gone forever.

Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found with Metal Detector in Springfield, TN

  • from Nashville (Tennessee, United States)

Yesterday Noel lost his gold wedding band in his yard while building a fence on his property in Springfield, TN. The ring was made from the gold sourced from his wife’s family, so it was very sentimental to him. I gathered my gear and arrived at his property within an hour. Noel briefed me how he thought he lost his ring, however he didn’t feel the ring come off his finger, so he pointed out all areas of the property where he’d been working. After about one hour and fifteen minutes into the search I got the signal that I had been working for. There was ring, hidden deep in the grass and fallen leaves. Noel explained that he had thought about buying a cheap metal detector after he lost the ring, but came to his senses and looked for help from an experienced detectorist. Bluebird clear skies, cool crisp air, meeting nice people and re-uniting them with their lost treasures, it doesn’t get much better than this.
