It was a beautiful summer afternoon in Sea Isle City, NJ when I received a call about a lost wedding band. Megan had posted in a local Facebook group asking for help after her husband, James, lost his ring in the sand. Luckily, someone in the group referred her to me—John Favano with Ring Finders South Jersey.
James had removed his wedding band to apply sunscreen and absentmindedly placed it in a cup holder. As the family packed up at the end of the day, the ring was forgotten—until they realized it was missing. Panic quickly set in.
Megan reached out, and I got to the beach shortly after speaking with her. She gave me a clear description of their location, and I began my metal detecting search right away. Within minutes, I got a strong signal on my detector. One scoop into the sand—and there it was: James’s wedding band, gleaming in the sunlight.
The look of relief and joy on their faces said it all. It’s always an amazing feeling to reunite people with something they thought was gone forever. Another ring recovered, and another happy couple!
