Metal Detecting Lost Handmade Ring in Chesapeake Bay…Found by Brian Rudolph Near California, Maryland

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Ana’s very special handmade sheet metal ring crafted in a Boston, Massachusetts’ summer workshop camp when she was sixteen years old.

Ana so happily displaying her very sentimental ring (with Poss and Ana’s father David celebrating along side Ana) that metal detectorist, Brian Rudolph successfully recovered from the Chesapeake Bay after 2 days of searching.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

I received a call from a gentleman named David who found my contact information on the wonderful international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS. He was calling me on behalf of his daughter Ana. She was out swimming with a college friend in Lexington Park, Maryland (near California, Maryland) when her very special ring slipped off of her finger and traveled to the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay. The two of them searched for a very long period of time but their efforts led to no avail.

This ring that Ana was wearing was no ordinary ring. She had made it herself out of sheet metal during a summer camp class program up in Boston, Massachusetts when the young lady was only sixteen years old. This handcrafted piece of jewelry became a part of her everyday life. She not only traveled across country several times with this it, but this very sentimental object was worn all over the world as she visited numerous countries afar. When it was lost in the water, Ana was devastated.

4 days after the loss of the ring, I headed out three hours to that region of the Chesapeake Bay to see if I could recover this very special item for Ana. On Day 1 of the search, Ana and her father stood on the shore and gave me some general directions as to where the young lady thought she lost the ring. It turned out that there were no landmarks for me to line up with and Ana didn’t remember how far out she was in the bay. This made my search attempt extremely difficult. I metal detected for two hours with no success to report back to them as they waited on shore until the sun disappeared below the horizon. We had to eventually call it quits until the next morning.

On Day 2 of the search, I requested that Ana walk out with me into the water and show me the approximate area where she thought she had lost her beloved sheet metal ring. The one thing she did remember is that there was a certain dip in the sand and also there were shells lined up in a certain area. The only problem was that Ana wasn’t sure how much distance she and her friend were from east to west (the area parallel to the shore). I ended up searching approximately 50 yards (150 feet) from left to right and approximately 40 yards (120 feet) away from shore. It was a large area to metal detect!

I set up a very special grid system in order for me to keep track of the areas that I had completed searching in the water, and the sections that I still needed to scan. An hour and a half went by but I never gave up. I knew that the ring was going to give off a unique signal if I came across it. The reason for this is because the ferrous item would probably show a little sign of rust knowing that it had been in the water a few days and the fact that it was not made of aluminum or precious metallic properties.

When I still could not find the sentimental keepsake, I asked Ana if she could bring her college girlfriend (who drove across country with Ana from their California school to Maryland) out to the site so that she could offer her own opinion as to where her friend may have lost the “halo”. Ana’s friend agreed to be picked up and while she drove over to her place, I continued to search for the missing sheet metal made ring.

Shortly after Ana’s friend named Poss had finished showing me the area where she thought the two of them were swimming when the ring slipped off Ana’s finger, I enjoyed the most wonderful moment of surprising the two ladies and Ana’s dad with the news that I had in fact found the missing ring! I had actually recovered it while Ana drove to pick up her friend, but I didn’t reveal the happy update until after I got Poss’s opinion as to where she thought it was lost. This way I could tell them where it was actually discovered out in the bay verses where the two of them thought it may have settled to the bottom. It turned out that the two of them were quite a bit off the mark due to how naturally one’s memory changes as the days go by. When I got a particular signal that showed up on my detector screen as possibly containing a combination of iron and steel, I was quite hopeful that I had finally discovered what I had been looking for for so very long. Indeed, it was the right target! What a feeling of elation that was to be able to recover such an “object of love” out there in that vast body of water!

The three of them were in complete shock! David was truly blown away by the news and Ana displayed such a beautiful expression of emotion as I handed her extremely special hand-crafted piece of jewelry back into her possession! She was so very grateful for my successful efforts and one could tell how Poss was so very happy for her college pal now that this very important keepsake had returned to its rightful owner!

Before we all said our goodbyes, I led us in a moment of giving thanks to the Lord for blessing us with such a successful search and recovery operation! What a memorable day that was for me and even more so for the young lady who cherished that very special handmade keepsake that had been on Ana’s finger since she was just sixteen years old!

Barnegat NJ Lost Wedding Ring in the Yard recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Samantha messaged me last night about her ring that flew off her daughter, Johanna’s finger while she was playing in the front yard. It was her grandmothers ring and had great sentimental value to her. I had already went to bed, but my auto message prompted her to call. After getting the details it was pretty apparent the ring had slid off her daughters finger when she threw her hands in the air. We didn’t know how far it flew, but knew positively, it was in the grass, someplace in the front yard. I met her right after she got off work to start the search. When I pulled up I didn’t like what I saw. It was an underground electric transformer box right on the corner of the property. If you know metal detectors the EMI interference from them can sometimes make the search impossible. I didn’t let her know this, and adjusted my machine to the conditions. Not 10 minutes later the machine gave the sweet sound of a platinum ring under the coil. I felt around with my pin pointer, as the grass was deep, and it was pushed into the dirt a bit from the family searching the day before. When I spotted the ring, I held the pointer on it to let it keep screaming, and looked over to her with a big smile on my face. She ran over in total amazement, with a priceless look on her face. The next 15 minutes are what makes this hobby so special, it was very sentimental moment.#njringfinder, #lostring,#lostcross,#lostringlavallettenj,#lostringortleybeachnj,#lostringLBI,#lostringholgatenj,#lostringsurfcitynj,#lostringlongbranchnj,#lostringbradleybeachnj,

Lost ring at Huntington Beach Park found

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

CALL SURF CITY RING FINDER ASAP  714-944-0555

Livi contacted me and asked if I could help find her wedding ring she lost yesterday at a local park while throwing a ball to her dog. She got my info from a friend of hers that had heard about my service.
Livi showed me where she threw the ball and I started my search in the direction of her throw. After a good hour of grid searching with no ring to be found I decided to search the spot where she was standing while throwing the ball. Right away I received a nice tone that was showing very shallow on my depth meter.
Her gold diamond ring was nestled in the grass and the search was over.

Ring lost in San Diego found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Anthony was doing some landscaping in his yard. After he was done planting a couple of things, he discovered his wedding ring was missing. Not being visible on top of the ground and not knowing how deep it may be buried, he wasn’t able to find it. An online search brought him to TheRingFinders.com and my contact info. We made arrangements for the search the next morning. I arrived with a buddy of mine and got the low down on where Anthony was working and other possible locations where the ring could be. First plant in the back yard, nada, so, we went to the side yard and the other plant. There was also some fresh bark that he had spread over the ground around the new plant. Hunted one side without a sound, I swung a bit over to the other side and got a weak jumpy sound off to the side a bit. I walked around to the other side and tried again. Still a bit of a strange signal, but, my coil was up against an adjacent pot, so, I just got out the pin pointer and investigated. Zeroed in on the target a couple of inches down and discovered it was his ring. Being a mix of tungsten carbide and gold probably produced the odd signal. A pleasure to meet you Anthony, and thank you for the reward. Hopefully the Padres will go to the World Series next year!

Lost 24K Gold Wedding Band at Kuhio Beach Pools Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began when I noticed a missed call on my phone from Conor.  When I returned the called Conor told me he was on his Honeymoon from Portland, Oregon and had just lost his 24k Gold Wedding Band in shallow water at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki.  He said he had about a 10 foot radius to search.  I told Conor I’d grab my gear and be there in about 15 minutes if he could meet me at the Kapahulu Pier.  After arriving on the beach Conor’s lovely wife Yumeng joined us and was the depth marker on the seawall while Conor came in the water with me to show me where he thought the ring would be.  I started a grid search slightly East of Conor’s mark just to be sure.  Thankfully this area is so heavily detected the hunt was silent then suddenly a booming hit on the Nox and on the second scoop there was the 24K Gold ring in the scoop.  2 for 2 today and Yumeng and Conor were so gracious I was able to find his ring.  Aloha to Conor & Yumeng!

Lost White Gold & Diamonds Engagement Ring at Hawaiian Princess Hotel Beach Waianae…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began at 5AM this morning when I got a text from Bob who was on vacation from Mayville, Wisconsin.  Bob texted “Lost an Engagement Ring at the Hawaiian Princess in Waianae.  Believe it is lost in the sand in a specific area or path.  I texted, I need a few more details and to call when you are free.  Bob immediately called and was able to text me a photo of the area when the sun came up.  My schedule eased up and I was able to head out during my lunch break.  Bob and his lovely wife Michele met me at the Hotel and escorted me to the beach area.  I started the hunt at the beginning of the path to the area they sat on the beach.  Once there I did a complete grid search with no luck finding the ring.  I could see Michele was starting to get that look of hopelessness when I said we aren’t done yet lets expand out on each side of the sand path as to that point I had only found one Lincoln cent.  I took a few more steps on the East side of the path and got a booming #10 on the Nox.  I took one scoop and there was Michele’s gorgeous ring in the scoop.  I told her, “Got it!”  As she came over to look in the scoop as soon as her ring came into view she burst into tears.  Elapsed hunt time was maybe 10 minutes but it probably seemed like an eternity to her.  Michele said, “You saved our vacation!” Look at those smiles.  Aloha to Michele & Bob!

Engagement Ring Recovered – Durham!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I got a call from Stephanie, a young mom who’d taken her daughter to a local pumpkin patch. She had lost both her rings – wedding and engagement – on the outing and was understandably upset. After she described the basic situation, we made arrangements to meet at the pumpkin patch before they opened up on Sunday morning. When I arrived, Stephanie and her mom were both there, anxious to help if they could. She said that a child had found her wedding ring the previous day after she had called me, so we were now only looking for the still-missing platinum engagement ring. We went through the usual questions to try and figure out exactly where the ring might have been lost, she showed me where she and her daughter had been, and we started looking. Stephanie and her mom had bought an inexpensive metal detector that they were hoping would help, but it became apparent that it wasn’t going to provide much assistance. We spent 90 minutes on Sunday until the pumpkin patch opened for day, but no ring. I made arrangements with the owners to come back the following morning to continue looking. Returning Monday morning, I spent about 45 minutes looking and was able to find the ring — a little dusty, but fine. I was able to return it to Stephanie that afternoon. It’s always a great feeling to return items to their owners! Another Happy Ending!

Lost Wedding Ring – Found in Peters Twp. near Pittsburgh!

  • from Indiana (Pennsylvania, United States)

Brian Carpenter – Ring Recovery Specialist, Pittsburgh, PA and Indiana, PA. Lost your ring or other valuable jewelry, cell phone, keys? Metal Detecting Service. Call/Text 814-244-2300 as soon as possible for assistance. I received a call from David that he thought he lost his gold wedding band while working in the yard the day before. I arrived at the house and it was explained that the day before they were cleaning out the garden and there was a small spot in the backyard, a garbage can, and some fabric pots where the ring could most likely be located. I checked the yard area first with no luck. The next likely place was to be the garbage can so I dumped out the can full of tomatoes and plants…no luck! I cleaned up the yard and started to check the fabric pots. I got a faint sound, but enough to make me investigate further. Using my pinpointer I located the ring about halfway down in the pot. David was elated to have his ring back and I was all to happy to be able to have recovered it. As always – it was a great pleasure to meet kind and generous people like David and his wife, and the cherry on top was being able to return his ring!
