Lost Ring St. Paul Minnesota Metal Detector Recovery

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Hans was out raking leaves along the boulevard of his St.Paul home and after bagging up 3 large bags of leaves; he noticed his Platinum wedding band was not on his finger. He searched the web and found the ring finders. Hans called and we set up a meeting to recover the ring. He thought the logical place to look first would be the bags of leaves, I agreed and he pulled the 3 bags out of the garage. This is an older neighbor hood and it took me a little while to find a “clean” area of grass not filled with coins people lost over the years, so I could check the bags. The first two bags were clean, then I got a faint sound in the 3rd one. We opened it up and using my Sun Ray probe I searched in the densely packed leaves. The further in the bag I pushed my prob the louder my detector sounded off. I switched to pin point and heard that great screaming sound of  a Platinum ring. Glad I was able to help you out Hans!

Take Care.

Lost Ring Recovery Minnesota

Amanda called to ask for help searching for her White Gold Diamond Engagement Ring. She lost it while playing in a corn pit at a local fall festival. I met Amanda and her family down at the festival at closing time to search. The pit is around 3 feet deep of corn and metal detectors only have a range of 12 to 15 inches for an item as small as a ring. I searched the area where the ring came off to no avail, Amanda and her family shoveled corn so I could get down deeper with my detector. We all searched for a couple hours and could not find it. I could see Amanda was heart broken at the loss and I told her not to give up hope – I will try again. I went home that night and called another Ring Finder in my area – Scott Juusola <- This is the guy who got me started in Metal Detecting around 25 years ago. Scott & I brainstormed on how to get down deeper into the corn with our detectors. We came up with a couple of ideas and a few days later, we set out to the corn pit for another search. We put both of our ideas to work and 15 minutes into the search, we recovered Amanda’s ring. What a great feeling to call Amanda and let her know that her precious ring was found. I truly believe the satisfaction we get from returning that special item that people thought was lost forever; gives us the determination to never give up! Congrats Amanda and Thanks to your Mom for her kind e-mail.

Take Care

1944 Class Ring Found after 69 years in the water

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

While I was scuba / relic hunting an old swim site in Minnesota I came across a 1944 Class Ring with a “K” High School etched into the top. The initials D and E on either side of the ring. After a month or so of searching for this high school I fianlly got a hit with the help of the Kimball Historical Society. They researched the ring and found it was from the town of Kimball and then further research brought up the name of Don Elliot. Don is now 87 years old and remembers the day he lost the ring and his frantic search to find it in the lake. Don went into the Navy during World War II and was never able to graduate. He remembers his principle at the time, asking Don why he was buying a class ring when he was almost certain to get drafted before graduating. Don said he just want the ring for his own reasons. This was a great adventure for me as a ring finder. The research, the people I was able to meet and doing something that made one of my personal hero’s ( A U.S. Veteran) happy. Congrats Don and I am looking forward to a cup of coffee with you and some great stories from the past!

Monica called and asked if I could help locate her husbands lost wedding band. They were swimming at a local beach and he noticed his ring was gone, they searched with goggles as it is only waste deep water. No luck! I went in the next day and Monica pointed me to the area they thought it might be. Monica thought it was to the left of the lifeguards chair and her husband though it was to the right. I have to be honest with you Monica – Your husband was right on this one. It took me approx. 3 hours as this is a very large beach and the ring was actually 25 yards further to the right than they had anticipated. What a beautiful ring – check out the added pictures – One of the best looking rings I have seen in a long time. Glad I could help out. take Care.

Metal detector rental finds wedding ring lake ann minnesota

Ben called late Saturday evening to report a lost wedding ring while swimming at Lake Ann Beach in Chanhassen. By the time I received the message it was to late to call him back. The next morning I called and he he informed me of the location of the lost wedding ring. It was very important to get out to the beach ASAP as many detectorists hit this beach on weekends in search of lost items – The only problem with these detectorists is that they have no intention of giving the items back to the rightful owner. I headed out as soon as I got the information from Ben and 30 minutes later I had his ring in my scoop. We had beaten the “scavengers” as we like to call them; and recovered Ben’s ring and it is now back on his finger where it belongs – Congrats Ben!!!!!

Diamond Ear Ring Lost Maple Grove Minnesota Metal Detector Service

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Laura was out mowing her lawn and as she was going under one of the willow trees, one of the branches caught her 14Kt Gold Diamond ear ring and pulled it off. Her and her husband searched and couldn’t find it. They rented a metal detector, though the model they had could not register the small amount of gold on the ear ring and it truly does take years of experience to operate a detector correctly. State Farm Insurance contacted us. We went the next morning and fought the hoards of mosquitoes. After a 15 – 20 minute search we hit it!!! It was very early in the morning as we had a scuba search planned for later that morning and Laura declined a picture – No worries Laura, no one wants a picture at 7:00AM!!! Glad we found your ear ring. Take Care.
