Bay Area Ring Finders: Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP 925-580-2590
Corey has been married for just over a month. While performing some home improvements in his back yard, he had performed many different tasks. At the end of the evening he realized that during one of those tasks, his Cartier white, yellow, and rose gold wedding band and came off of his finger and was lost to the yard. Utilizing AI, he was first informed of the Ring Finder Service, but he was on a different mission. He was looking to order a metal detector, which he did. As a back up plan, he contacted me to learn about what I could do for him.
At the time I was scheduled to perform a daring low tide ring recovery in the San Francisco Bay. These are not for the faint of heart and must be carefully planned as to not get sucked out the Golden Gate. However, after surveying the conditions and the water depth where the ring was lost, this search was called off for another day and better conditions. I reached out to Corey to see if he was available and headed over to his beautiful home straight away.
Once I had arrived, Corey met me at the curb and walked me to the backyard and through the events of the day the ring was lost. I got started detecting the water feature, he was most certain it was there. Then we searched the left side of the hill where he had slipped and fell that day. I instantly knew that this would be the area we would find it and within seconds…We made the recovery!!!
He was both shocked and thrilled that the ring was found that quickly. I told him that we found it before I even uncovered it. He was almost in disbelief when I was right and handed him the missing wedding band. It rang in at 50 in Field General on the Manticore and sounded perfect from the first swing.
Corey’s wife came out shortly after and we celebrated the recently recovered ring and talked at length about metal detectors and finds, and all was well that ended well! Thank you Corey for allowing me to help recover this ring and best wishes to the newly wed’s.
