Found Gold ring after 7years lost!

  • from Sarnia (Ontario, Canada)

after finding the ring finders website I received a call from Andrew who told me the story about losing his sentimental gold ring that was given to him from his father after passing. He told me the story of doing yard work 7 years ago shortly after buying his new home but when work was done for the day he noticed his ring was no longer on his finger. Andrew and his family spent many hours and days searching without success and said that after all these years he would still search whenever he did yard work . Finally his son found the ring Finders which I am a member of in Sarnia Ontario his son told Andrew and the next day I received the call. He gave me an area of the most likely spots that his ring may have been lost. I began searching and quickly realized how difficult the Terrain was consisting of Vines bushes and twigs. I searched for a couple of hours and was very close to giving up but something inside me made me take one more walk around the yard with the detector. I was definitely close to calling it a day when I got a signal that sounded like the many hundreds of other trashy signals I was getting however this time after scraping some dirt away I saw a glint of gold. I said a small prayer before I pulled the clump out of the ground and low and behold it was the ring. Andrew and his whole family were very shocked and very pleased and I wouldn’t doubt if they have a family celebration.

Andrew was very surprised and greatful. Always feels great helping someone find an important piece of there life.😀👍

Lost Ring in Camlachie, Ontario…Found!

After waving her arms in the air from her front porch while saying goodbye to her grandchildren, this lovely lady noticed her ring was no longer on her finger. As many others like her she thought it was gone forever! In a last-ditch effort her husband searched the internet until lo and behold The Ring Finders showed up. Quickly finding my name in the directory I received a call. A few hours later after the description of the ring and how it was lost I was in search mode, this time it was not my metal detector that found the ring it was my pinpointer and my eyes as I had to crawl around on my hands and knees in the bushes besides the house. They were both very happy to have their sentimental 20 plus year old Tiffany ring back on her finger. As always I was just as happy to have found it for them.

Hi everyone, I had an old friend that was trying to contact me but did not have my number and could not find it because it is not in my name so he decided to just put my name in the search engine and guess what popped up; The Ring Finders, with all of my contact info. When he told me how he found me, I thought I would tell the story. The Ring Finders are everywhere! lol. Too bad he didn’t lose a nice ring that I could have found for him ha ha but at least we got together.

My first Blog

Just wanted to say hi to everyone from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. I have been a member of the ring finders for close to a year now and just love what is represents. Chris Turner has done an excellent job building this great service. I love metal detecting as a hobby and nothing is better than helping someone find lost jewelry or keys that they think are gone forever. This year I was only able to do 2 searches for people, one was for an earring that I was unsuccessful with and the other was for 2 lost rings that had a great ending. The rings were tossed out a door in a moment of grief but then promptly searched for without success. The next day I was called. When the rings were tossed they were said to have hit a parked car and ricocheted off the car. I was able to locate the first ring on the other side of the car in the neighbours yard and the second ring was about the same distance in the total opposite direction. luckily both rings were found within about 20 minutes and needless to say the teary eyed owner was very happy. I am still working on getting some pictures which I will post soon after.
