Lost Wedding Band Wisconsin St. Croix River Recovered

Mike and his family went out to a local beach for some fun in the sun. They were playing around in the water with some inner tubes. Mike decided to throw one of the tubes to his wife and when he did, he watched his Titanium wedding band fly off his finger into the water. He is approximately 6 feet tall and he was neck deep. His whole family tried searching for the ring to no avail. When he got home, he went on google and typed in, “how to find a lost ring in the water” – Luckily, “theringfinders.com” came right up. He gave me a call and we set up a time a day to meet. I’m in Minnesota and he lost the ring in the St. Croix river in Wisconsin, about an hour and 15 minute drive for me. We at the ring finders are determined to find people’s lost valuables no matter what the circumstance are. We met at the beach, talked about the area he thought the ring was in and I geared up for the search. Mike and his son marked the north and south most boundaries and I performed a grid search between them. I got a few hits of pop tops, bottle caps and broken off shards of propellers while searching. After 15 minutes or so, I got a nice hit on my Minelab Manticore and pretty much knew it was his ring. The bottom was a little weedy, some muck and sand mix. It took we a couple scoops to get it out from the bottom, pulled Mike’s wedding band out of my basket and saw the big smile on Mike’s face.

Lost Wedding Ring Recovered Minnesota Metal Detecting

Pam was out in front of her condo doing a little fall clean up. She was removing the leaves from the shrubs when she felt her diamond wedding ring fall off her finger. She knew it couldn’t have gone far, though she, her husband and some neighbors searched for hours with no luck. She went on-line and searched for helped, coming across theringfinders.com and she gave me a call. We set up a time for the next day and I met her & her husband in front of her building. She showed me exactly what happened and I assured her, if her ring is in this 20′ X 20′ area, I’ll find it. Over 40 years of metal detecting, I think I’ve got this down to a science :O) –

It took about 1 minute and I received that beautiful gold tone through my Minelab Manticore headphones. I took out my pin-pointer and found her ring under some leaves and thick grass.

So glad I could reunite you with your wedding ring Pam. It was nice meeting and chatting with both of you and I will be checking out Perch lake. It is a non-motorized lake, though I can use my electric trolling motor…

Minnesota1960 Class Ring Recovered in Wisconsin

One of the many reasons I love my job!!! As I was on a scuba wedding ring search in Wisconsin, I found a 1960 Minnesota Class Ring. Class rings are exciting to find as they have all the information needed to find it’s owner. The high school, the graduation year and the initials of the owner. The person who lost this would now be 83 years old. After 40+ years of metal detecting, I could tell by the depth of rock/sand/muck this ring was found in, she lost it over 60 years ago. I called the library for the city the school is in. I talked to a young lady and told her what I was looking for, she was almost as excited as I was to find the name of the ring owner. She scanned the 1960 yearbook for the initials I gave her and it could only be one person.  She gave me her name “Beth” and now the internet search starts to locate the ring owner. There was no information with her name though I found an obituary for Beth’s mother, it had all the children listed(10) and I started searching for those names. I came across an add on “Next Door” for a small business that Beth’s sister has. I called and talked to Sarah. Sarah informed me that Beth had past away a few years back. I told Sarah that I’d still like to get the ring back to the family and she told me that Beth has a son, Bill. Bill contacted me and he now has the ring in his possession.

So glad I could get this beautiful 1960 Class Ring back where it belongs.

Lost key Minnesota metal detecting found recovery

Lost key fob at the fall festival. FOUND!

DAndra lost this key fob at the fall festival though she lives quite aways from it, so I took a pic and will be sending the key to her. Hopefully I can get her to take a pic of her smile for a future upload.
