Tom texted me late at night, desperately looking for help. I was already out cold. Later when we connected he told me that Angels ring had come off while they were on a remote part of a lake, boat beached and everyone enjoying some time cooling off in the water. They had spent hours diving down and feeling around for it. These types of losses are devastating, rings have such stories behind them and what they represent between two people is a unique thing in itself. They were from out of town, so we worked through a map and later after I boated to the area we tried to narrow the area of the big lake down even some more. Unfortunately I knew that this was a party cove and decades of cans, pull tabs, pull rings, vapes, molton aluminum from shore line camp fires and fishing weights lay scattered in the area ready to hide the signal of a ring. Once I knew what the ring was made out of and the size of it I was able to narrow down the signal from experience. A few hours later he got a picture that they both had been praying for. I drove out of town to deliver it because I knew she didn’t need another sleepless night. Always my honor to help put a priceless smile back on a face.
