Alan contacted me about a gold ring his father had lost a couple years ago while doing some yard work. He thought it would make a great father’s day gift to have it found and returned. I headed out to the beautiful historic property. There I was greeted by two of the nicest people I have met, Alan’s parents. Despite mobility issues, his dad was able to describe what he was doing when the ring was lost, and really helped narrow the search area. Luck was on our side. The ring had landed in an area where it avoided the lawn mower while it sank a few inches into the soil. I carefully extracted it, cleaned off the dirt. shined it up a little with a cloth, then took it over to where Alan’s dad was sitting. He looked up and I said “Happy Father’s Day” as I placed the ring in his hand. He was very happy to have it back, and I was very grateful to be able to do it for him.

Samuel contacted me about a lost family heirloom ring. He took a fall while skating on a paved path near his home. He was okay, but unfortunately the ring flew off into the woods along the path.  They searched for many hours with no luck. I was able to get there the next day. After a detailed description of the fall and trajectory, we were able to narrow the search area, and found it within a few minutes.  I was really glad to recover this special ring for a hard working young man.

Ryan contacted me about a ring he lost while working at a home in Keswick. Luckily the home owner knew of The Ring Finders and referred him to me.  I was able to head right out and met him there.  He had a good idea of the area on the thick lawn where it was last, as he and his coworker had spent time searching on hands and knees, and even raking with no luck.  I started searching with my metal detector, and within a few minutes I was able to find it.  It was nice to get the ring back on Ryan’s finger.

Katharine contacted me about a wedding ring she lost while on her front porch that is surrounded by landscaping. I headed right over and met with her husband who showed me the search area. I used my detector with a small search coil to get into the bushes easier and within a few minutes found the ring.  I was so glad to help this nice young couple.

Samantha contacted me in the early afternoon. Unfortunately, she lost her wedding ring while shoveling snow from their long, wooded driveway.  I was able to head right out and arrived a little over an hour later.  We started with the most likely search area, but after doing a grid search for about an hour with no luck, we talked about it and established another possible search area.  About 30 minutes later, I found the ring, several inches deep in the snow.  I am so glad I was able to help Samantha and her family!

Marquis was out in his uncle’s fenced-in yard working with his dogs when he made a sudden motion with his arm and unfortunately his awesome gold ring went flying. Unable to find it, he went and got a metal detector. This yard happens to have a lot of electromagnetic interference along with many false targets making it nearly impossible for a first time detectorist to make any sense of what they are hearing. Luckily he discovered Ring Finders and contacted me. I was able to get out there the same day and after about a half hour of searching found the ring hiding in the grass. I’m very happy to be able to help with another recovery.

Angel was out in the yard with her dog when it picked up a pine cone. When she took it away and threw it into a tall row of thick vines and thorns that runs along the property line, she saw her wedding rings go with it. After searching the area, even on hands and knees, she was not able to find the rings. One of her friends did a search on their phone and noticed The Ring Finders site which led her to call me for help. The search area was difficult due to the thick vines and thorns along with two layers of fencing, one metal and the other wood. The metal fence along with the nails in the wood fence made detecting a challenge, but I searched around the area trying to ignore some metal sounds while listening for the rings. I didn’t have any luck so I asked Angel to go over the details again. As I listened and watched the throwing motion, I noticed a small hole in the wall of vegetation and wondered if the rings could have flown perfectly through that hole without touching a thing. Sure enough a good 15 or so feet away in the neighbors yard behind a tree was the first ring of the set. Searching downhill from there I soon found the other ring about 6 feet from the first. I was very relieved and happy to be able to help Angel find these.

Riley’s husband accidentally dropped his wedding ring off the dock after a swim in the lake. They searched for it, but unfortunately were unable to find it. That was about two and a half years ago, then Riley contacted me relaying the story. Her anniversary was coming up and she hoped to surprise her husband by returning the lost ring. We scheduled a time to meet at the lake, when her husband was away on a trip. She remembered very well where the ring dropped which was a huge help in narrowing the search area. The bottom of the lake angles toward deeper water, so I figured it probably slid and settled a little farther out from where it originally fell. I heard a few signals as I waded out into the water, and it didn’t take long before I heard what I was listening for. The ring was about 5 inches down in thick clay-like sediment. I was so happy to be able to help Riley with her very thoughtful anniversary gift to her husband. She was able to surprise him with it only a few days later.

Tim was taking care of some yard work and playing with his dog when he felt his wedding ring fly off in the backyard. He and his wife did a thorough search and even raked the area, but could not find it. He contacted me on Sunday and I was able to head right over. After hearing the details, I searched the most likely area and was able to recover the ring. I am very thankful to be able to help another young couple.

Aaron was enjoying some fall fun with his family at the beautiful Endless View Farms when his ring fell off in an enormous pit full of corn that was set up for everyone to play in. They searched for hours, but had no luck. After Aaron left, the staff told me that another person with a metal detector searched the corn, but also could not find it. When he got home Aaron contacted me and I was able to get to the farm the next day. I ended up getting there a little ahead of time so I headed to the pit. After a few minutes I got a faint signal. I moved away about a foot of corn and it got stronger. About 2 feet down, there it was. Soon after, Aaron arrived and I was able to meet him with good news and put the ring back in his hands where it belongs.
