Ring Lost at Engagement Photo Shoot in Va Beach!

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

A young couple went to the ocean to do a beautiful engagement photo shoot. All was going well until her hand accidentally got hit and the ring flew off in the water. The photo shoot was over! They found me on the web and gave me the location on a map that it was lost at. I went down and gridded the area until I found it. I did not tell her I found it and surprised her at her house. I love my job!

Ring Lost in Hampton VA

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

I was detecting in the water when A man came up to me and said he lost his ring out in neck deep water at low tide. The tide had come up and I was not able to get out deep enough. I came back the next day and went out neck deep and got a good hit. Digging in that deep water is tough. Your body is basically floating and you cant get weight on the scoop. You have to hit the scoop with your foot. It took a while but I was finally able to recover the ring!

BIG GOLD Chain Lost and Found In Va Beach VA

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

I got a call about a BIG gold chain lost in the ocean! I immediately went down to meet the owner. He was not sure when it came off so the search area was 1 block log and foot deep to waist deep water. I searched with no luck. I returned 3 more times on low tide and on the last trip I got a signal right at the water line! Bam! We got it and gave the owner a facetime call to let him know!

Lost and Found Water Recovery in Norfolk VA

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

It was a muddy rescue! A very unique recovery late yesterday evening. Got a call about a wallet and keys being dropped off of a pier. I checked the depth and it was only 3 feet but when I jumped in the water I went up to my knees in soft muck! I used a rope to hold on to while leaning to search. Pulled out an old crab pot and lots of mud looking for it. The pier had metal all around the bottom making detecting hard to do. After I gave up on detecting I started reaching down around the metal on the bottom around the pier. I first pulled up a cell phone and some other junk but then I pulled up the wallet and did not know I had found the right thing until I heard the owner screaming!

Ring Recovered In Norfolk VA Found With Metal Detector!

I got a call from Michael up in New Jersey. He lost his gold wedding band last Friday at a local beach and just realized today that there are ring finding services out there! He put a circle on a map to give me an idea where it was lost. I knew my daylight time was limited. I started gridding the area off. The first grid did not produce so I started a second grid a little further away and BAM! We gave him a facetime call to let him know! I got it back to him!

He is out of the Doghouse in Sandbridge VA! They put their wedding rings in the back of a zippered beach chair but forgot to zip it up. They did not realize they were missing until they got back home. They called me and I came out and started gridding the area. The first one was found about 10 feet away from where they thought and the second one about 3 feet from that. Glad to get them back to them.

This ring was lost in 3 feet of water. They did not know when it came off so the search area was big. I searched for an hour and then came back and gridded the water off and searched another hour and got lucky and found it. They got married on my birthday and it’s imprinted inside the ring. So happy to get it back to them!

Lost and Found Sentimental Gold Ring!

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

Emotional Return! I ventured out in some rough water to look for a sentimental Gold and Platinum wedding band. The waves were not my friend that day! After about 20 minutes, I got a good tone. I could not believe that the gold was in my scoop! I FaceTimed him and let him know his ring was found. He said the ring was the only piece of jewelry he owned. It’s been around the world twice and in every kid’s hand and he’s happy to get it back.
