Got a call last night from a gentleman who lost his ring while doing yardwork in preparation for winter. Between the cold air, losing a few pounds his ring was a little loose, plus working hard with several types of tools.
So we made arrangements for me to do a search first thing this morning. It was a beautiful morning for a ride up high in the mountains. When I got there, he showed me the most likely places to start. The area had a surprising amount of metal in the ground, plus there was a metal fence. He had tried his detector and running a leaf blower, but didn’t have any luck.
Fortunately, I got a great signal and I knew it was a surface find. I peeked into the deep grass and there it was! It only took about 15 minutes, but sometimes these searches turned into many hours so we were both very happy.
