I received a call last night from a father telling me his son is visiting the Lake Tahoe area and had lost a family heirloom while hiking up an embankment. I was able to drive up the next morning and invited a good friend to join me in the hunt. After 40 minutes of searching we found it!!
It’s always such a rush when you find a lost item for someone. : )

When my son called me from Lake Tahoe saying he had lost the ring that I had given him I was sure it was gone for good.
The ring had been my father’s, mine, and now his. The ring being also one of my son’s high school graduation gifts as he had recently graduated.
I had remembered hearing something about people who find jewelry. I looked online and found The Ringfinders. I chose to call Michael Dewey as he appeared to live close.
I called Michael and frantically rattled off the circumstances my son was in. Turns out I had interrupted his lunch and time he had been planning to spend with his own children. Michael was still ok with all of this and said reassuringly no problem, I can help!
O.K. So I just interrupted a man having lunch who I had never met, living states away from me who is putting his plans on hold to help me.
What is the location Michael asked. I told him Lake Tahoe. Evidently what looked close to me on a map was an hour and a half each way across the desert for Michael!
I thought for sure this wasn’t going to work. Again Michael said no problem!
Michael told me when he could be there the next day.I told him my son is leaving in the afternoon with his friends to come back home. He won’t be there. Again Michael says no problem!
I am thinking this is crazy! You can’t even get emergency assistance for home repairs this quickly most the time!
Michael met my son at the promised time. Within a short period of time he was able to locate my son’s ring!
I never thought something like this could be possible and come together like it did. But it did with Ringfinders and Michael Dewey!
Thank you so much for finding my son’s lost ring. Hopefully he will be able to pass it onto a 4th generation someday!
