Lost Ring New Westminster, BC...Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I was woken up at 7:30 in the morning by a young lady who asked if I could help her find her lost ring… I worked nights so I was a little tired but jumped out of bed and got ready! She told me the ring fell off her finger and went over her balcony. After hearing the story I had a gut feeling that this ring had been thrown over the balcony. I need to hurry to the location because the landscapers were already there and ready to cut the grass, luckily the lady asked that they wouldn’t do that until I searched it first.

After arriving to the location and meeting Kim and as she was describing the area where she thought the ring was lost she told me that she got mad and threw the rain. This happens more than you know, the only thing is not many people want to talk about it or have their picture taken and tell their story…

Kim on the other had opened up and told me that she got mad and in the heat of the argument toss her ring over the balcony. This helps me because I have to factor in all possibilities of where the ring could’ve landed and if it landed on the road, across the street, on top of another roof, so many possibilities of were it could be!

Kim went up stairs to let me get to work and my first thought was to illuminate the possibilities of the ring being directly below her balcony on the lawn.

Well that turned out to be a great idea! I found the ring in 10 minutes and to my surprise it was lodged into the ground and out of sight! I believe the weight of the ring and falling from three stories and the possibility of her stepping on it had hidden in the ring from sight.

I was so excited when I pulled it up from the grass as it was one of the most beautiful ring I had ever found.

The story behind the ring was so powerful as it was made up from her late Grandmother, Mothers & Sister, all their rings and diamonds  custom-made for Kim to wear and remember them.

You can watch the video below of the search…I love my job!
