On Tuesday the 15th Jonathan reached out to the Ring Finder and myself about a lost ring in Belfast Maine. His partner had lost it a month earlier while painting a rental at a motel complex. The ring had been passed down from father To son. Jonathan said his partner lost it while painting on a ladder and had heard it hit the ladder so he knew exactly where it was lost. They searched but came up empty-handed. Later the maintenance crew from the motel trimmed grass and bushes there and six people were on the hands and knees searching for this Ring.
Once I arrived on site. I met the maintenance manager and he showed me exactly where this incident had happened. I fired up the metal detector and made one pass close to the foundation and on the return pass 3 feet from the foundation. I got my first repeatable signal indicating a target on the surface.separating The grass I spotted a small portion of the ring. It seemed to be where the base of the ladder had been and was definitely stepped on. Later that afternoon I met up with Jonathan for the return. Jonathan‘s intention was to surprise his partner a few days later with the Ring. But at the return, Jonathan was excited at first, but then he wasn’t sure that this was the Ring. I said it has to be. It was where the latter was. It was on the surface that can’t be two rings there. I said let me know when you return it and if it’s not it, I’ll go back down. I spoke with Jonathan this morning and it is the Ring ,big sigh of relief. The picture say the
