A tungsten wedding ring disappeared into the sand during a volleyball game, just a few weeks before its owner’s first wedding anniversary.
Fortunately, he had a good idea of the general area where the ring was lost. That makes a huge difference with recoveries like this. We marked out the likely search area, established a methodical grid, and began working the sand section by section.
Within just a few minutes, the detector gave us the signal we were hoping for.
A quick recovery from the sand, and the tungsten wedding band was back where it belonged — on his hand, with plenty of time to spare before that first anniversary.
When you lose a ring, try to remember the smallest possible area where it may have come off and avoid disturbing the area more than necessary. Even a rough location can dramatically improve the chances of a fast recovery.
