I got a text from Raymond asking for help in locating his wedding band he lost in the surf at Asbury Park that day. I told him i’d meet him the next day at low tide to see what i could do for him. I went down and met his friend who was there with him and he showed me the area they were in the water. Raymond was with his 4 year old daughter just passed the waters edge when she fell and reaching down to grab her his left arm flew back and his ring went flying off his hand into the surf. After a bit Raymond showed up to see how things were going. I searched for about a half hour with no luck. I went up and was talking to Raymond who said he thinks he might of been alittle further to the left of where i was hunting because there was a deep drop off and he remembered thinking he hoped the ring didnt go into the deeper drop off. He pointed where he though he was and after walking into the water about 6 feet i got a perfect ring signal on the detector, and sure enough after a quick scoop of sand there was his ring in the scoop. Neither one of us could believe it. Im so glad he remembered and was able to get his ring back.
