Chelsea lost her great grandmother’s 14 karat rose and white gold family heirloom ring. She was devastated. She and her partner looked everywhere for it but couldn’t find it. Chelsea noticed it was no longer on her finger after bathing the dog in a child’s wading pool as well as throwing a ball to her favorite canine in the backyard. After searching for hours, Chelsea and Kayla had exhausted all efforts in finding the lost special ring.

At some point, Kayla tried to help Chelsea by going online to see if she could find a professional metal detectorist who might be able to come to the house and search around the property for the ring. That’s when she stumbled upon the elite international directory of metal detectorists called THE RING FINDERS. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from Chelsea and we scheduled a time for me to do a ring search for her.

When I arrived at the property, Kayla greeted me and showed me around the backyard. Chelsea could not be there due to her work commitments. I saw where the wading pool was laid and also where the balls were thrown. I immediately thereafter got to work.

I metal detected all around the grass where the wading pool had laid and where it was placed after the dog had been washed. Then, I scanned more of the property, but still, nothing turned up.

It was at that point that I asked Kayla to show me all of the places where Chelsea had been working and walking around. Also, I wanted to see any items that Chelsea had touched and or moved during the time of the disappearance of the ring. The kind young lady took me under the townhouse’s deck and pointed to a few things that Chelsea had been working with when she was cleaning the dog. I searched all around that area but the ring was nowhere to be found.

Finally, I asked if the dog’s poop was left in the yard or if the couple “bag up” the waste into plastic. Kayla said they bag up the poop and she showed me where the most recent bag was thrown away. Immediately, I grabbed the bag, brought it over to a patch of grass where no metal was in the ground below it and scanned over the bag with my metal detector. To my greatest surprise, a perfect signal in the gold range could be seen on my detector’s screen and heard in my headphones! I then took my handheld pinpointer and narrowed down the location as to where in the poop bag the object was hiding. Finally, with gloves on (of course), I opened the wrapped up plastic and placed my pinpointer in the direction of the mysterious item, moved my fingers through the smelly contents and there it was! I found it! I discovered the missing ring! I located beautiful but tainted object in the middle of the pile of fresh canine poop! I was ecstatic!

As soon as my eyes beheld this most marvelous discovery, I brought Kayla over and revealed to her my incredible findings! She was totally blown away! Chelsea was called at work and given the great news! My client’s exquisite rose and white gold family heirloom ring that was her great grandmother’s wedding band from nearly a hundred years ago had been saved from being thrown out in the trash and sent forever to the county’s local dump site! She was completely in awe of my successful endeavors and the two of them expressed their sincere gratitude for the work I achieved.

I will never forget that moment when I saw that beautiful two-tone gold ring with its most ornate carvings stuck in the middle of the wet and smelly poop! It was the best sight I had ever seen when detecting such a disgusting search location! What a story it was!
