Lost ring in corn pit recovered Twin Cities Metro using a metal detector
While searching for another lost ring, I picked up a faint signal. Knowing it was deep, I started removing corn by the bucketful until my pin
pointer finally located the lost ring!
I sent a picture to the landowner, who later received a call reporting that a ring had been lost. That’s when the story got even more interesting.
The ring belonged to his grandfather, who passed away a few years ago. His grandmother had given it to him because he was born on his grandfather’s birthday. Coincidentally, I was born on that same birthday!
He had worn the ring for several years, waiting for the right person to enter his life. That happened just one year ago!
After talking with him, I learned that he lost the ring after losing 50 pounds, which caused it to become loose. He knew it was missing and had spent an hour digging with a shovel trying to recover it. That explained why the ring was buried so deep!
What started as a search for another lost ring turned into the recovery of something truly irreplaceable.
Another ring returned, another family story preserved, and another grateful recipient! ❤️
