I received a text message from Amani at 5:15am this morning. She and her husband, Mark, were visiting from Chicago and Amani lost her wedding band on the beach last night and couldn’t sleep. Fortunately, she knew where it had slipped off. Directly behind the Noto’s Restaurant she had marked the location with a large pile of sand. By the time I arrived, Grand Haven State Park beach and the adjacent City beach were PACKED with people for a volleyball tournament. I love beach searches as opposed water searches as the targets are much easier to find. In less than 5 minutes Amani had her ring back and she was hugging and thanking me profusely.
